For the background I’d recommend a stronger separation between background, middle ground and foreground, it would push the dynamics and make the space more 3 dimensional to the eye and for rendering you should start with nailing lighting direction so you can draw in a characters shadows in a believable way, not necessarily realistic but the lighting needs to convince the eye that it’s how it would play out, then once you’ve got your dark and light, you can move on to half tones and blending to achieve a more rendered look, your design is pretty and your colour picking is great, just a bit more and you’ll be making masterpieces
