I believe this might be an odd question and I might even come off as dumb but I wanna understand this as best as I can to not make any mistakes

So, for starters, I wanna make adopts but I want to know more about this whole "culture" if that makes sense.
For all I know, its when you design a character and let people buy the usage of them, but the credit of the creation is still yours. But if I am wrong about this part please educate me.

But that's all I know about them and I feel like I need to understand more about it before starting those. So, for now, my main questions are:

1- How do they work in general?
2- Can I design similar characters after I make one?
3- Can I still post it as my own art? (Like on Instagram or use what I created as example for commission purposes, etc)
4- How does TH work? It seems confusing to adapt to the platform and I am lost (I do not have a code yet but I am soon getting one)
5- What does things like SB, AB and etc mean? I don't understand most of the random letters I see when I see something on TH
6- How do I price them?

I might have other questions in the future but I really appreciate if you can answer those for me! 💕

I am sorry to bother you again with this but I am still a bit confused about my third question, about if I am allowed to keep the art itself and use it as examples or on my portifolio after selling an adopt, if you can help me

from my understanding,
it really depends on who ur selling it to and what they are okay with cuz they hold the rights to the character
but honestly i wouldnt sell to somone whos that mean with the usage itd be a prety big red flag imo if they wouldnt let you

so just specify somewhere on your TOS that you will use the art u made of the char as example in ur portfolio !
