#Can’t determine what the background should be

I have this drawing and while it could end as is, I want to put these fellas in a situation. I have 3 settings in mind but each would change the vibe quite a bit.

  1. A jungle setting with those big dark green rain forest leaves and trees being what’s most present. These creatures resemble a snake so it feels fitting for the animal aspect.

  2. A big stone wall with a door/stairs descending. They remind me of that riddle where there’s two guardians and one lies and the other tells the truth. Plus they have a sort of mechanical feel to them with the worm/wires coming out their heads like hair so it’d fit the artificial feel.

  3. Completely abstract lines that are more uniform on the left and get more chaotic on the right. It’d more purely represent the two personalities they’ve formed and keep my pattern of making the background a fairly abstract concept rather than a real thing like the creatures.

All of them have downsides and upsides but I cannot for the life of me decide and I’ve been staring at it for a few hours now without any decision being made. Any help is appreciated.

I agree with gubtub 😌 definitely a mechanical feel but it'd be cool to experiment with the fact that these could be biological/ partially biological beings that shouldn't be walked up on
