This is honestly so cool, but maybe the dagger needs a bit more perspective? It looks a little off, but other than that I see nothing

looks very yummy, but the left shoulder seems wider than the right one.

head is wayyy too small

and the knife would be pointing more downward as it doesnt look like she has tight enough of a grip on it for such an instense angle!

and shape language wise it reads a lil funny cuz her whole suit/body is as sharp/triangler as the dagger but her hair and featuers are superrr round and soft!

obv these can shift a bit but in this case its disproportionate ^^

thanks for pointing out the proportions and shape language! i did intend for her face and hair to contrast a LOT with the armour. her character revolves around feeling rlly out of place with her position as a knight so im kinda glad that comes across in her character design! but if there are better ways i could convey that pls let me know

ohhh i get ya okay i can def suggest a few things to help with that!!!

see the expression is so cold and serious matches with such a strong/confident stance and silhouette and unified colour scheme !
the ony thing suggesting a differnce is the shape language in th head/hair,

so, id def suggest making the silhouette less comfortable/certain like shes thinkng "this is horrible but i have to!...there is no other choice!?"
the silhouette you have right now is mainly being carried by the shape langugage !

and the colour language is warm and proud,
you can honestly go 2 directions depending on whats more of the theme in her story
make the suit cold and unwelcoming [hinting that the whole thing is almost cruel and unfitting] or
make her colder showing how its drainng the life out of her! [but the position/job itself is not morally wrong and is quite nice]

thanks the suggestions! i adjusted some of the proportions, made her head a bit bigger and shortened the limbs. i kind of combined some of ur suggestions with the colours (cause the role is both bad for her and just inherently corrupt) and made the armour a lot cooler and a bit darker and i rlly liked ur idea of it draining the life out of her so i made her skin a tiny bit cooler and RLLY subtly adjusted her facial expression. (shes pretty emotionally closed off so i didnt want to go overboard)
also i gave her a fun trailing fabric piece?? idk i think it looks cool and adds motion to her design if that makes any sense. and i like the idea of the colours representing the kingdoms shes supposed to protect physically following/dragging her down in a way. if its iffy and a bit much let me know☝️
also redrew and repositioned the dagger because the last one was done rlly hastily
(also i opted for a more painterly rendering style cause i just like that style more and removed a lot of the gold detailing cause it felt very busy heehee )

okay sorry its took me a min to get around to this keep in mind a lot of this is more of a sugesstion then a critique !

1. tied up hair, i love the bouncy round curls of her hair,
but if shes become recluse of sorts and everything, it would make more sense to have her hair tied up!
like a pony tail if u still want to keep some of that shape but in a metaphor itd be like shes keeping it out of her face like hows shes keeping that part of her out of her future/minds eye a simialer idea with the bun just a more uptight version !

maybe add a hair accessory or some braids to it to stylize it a bit more maybe with the accessory or braids be something from her childhood or the braids add that more curved shape to the silhouette
[the head band works fine as the accessory though !! im just blabbing here on thoughts and was thinking of like hair pins with flags just brainstorming like]

also just makes sense for a soldier not to have so much loose hair

plus ngl my fav bit is you could have some epic scenes/animations where she "lets her hair down" like a wall shes built a perfect image being let slip or just completly let down to be herself or be vulnerable

2. The trailing fabric
i like it and i dontt it looks really cool
im not a big fan of the fabric shape cuz it looks a bit too much like a scarf
butt i think i like it cuz it looks like a cape
i think ud honestly just like to give her a cape lol

but id worry that it could def mess with the sillougtte
but a triangle with its head cut off shape which is how imagine the name but i mean like trapazoid shape!
would be a suiting shape for and look cool
orr second option whichich might be too much but ill mention it anyway cuz the more thoughts the merrier lol would be almost like a short shawl/back thing? with the emblem and a butt cape ill def send a few pics for ya!

though you could also use a ribbons aroud joints, hair, or hoenstly there are a lottt of options for this u could add aswell for extra movement!

but my thoughts on the idea being too much is ehhh it absolutly could/would be if u use it as her day to day design but maybe for special events or ceremonies itd def work still

3.lighting

yk urslef lighting is magical and again just for dramtic frames/drawings
itd be really cool to have a warm light on one side of her and a cool light on the other E.G shes holding a torch under the shine of the moonlight or just near one that contrast of her warm and cool side can easily be overemphasisd in the drawings and make a great visual naritiev with the colours !

i just say this cuz i see youve done these blue/red marks on her but i dont think they sould be next to eachother but instead on oposing sides! yk the colour of the light matters a lot in mood and story telling !

also to be clear this is very much me taking a great interest in ur charecter nand its story not me trying to find flaws

cuz she is such a lil cutieee [and iggg has a compelling story though thats not a big factor /j]

4.the other changes:

the less amount of noise look wayyy better its way more readable and helps a lot!!
dagger also way better positioned
face looks great! :D

1st pic, something like this for the emblem on the back again idk if itd be a very day to day freindly thing but yk what i meen
2nd pic oml it is so hard to find what im on about when i say butt cape looking on piterest i now know why ppl say its a load of ai omg but rant aside i meen a much longer flowing trail in the back and the front is very optional

but either way im veryyy on and off on the idea myself its really cool but a lilll impractical at the same time but also wouldnt be tooo bad but also.. and just repeat that for like a million times and thats my thought lol

hair;

there a lottt of really cute out of ur face hair styles aswell so many that i think id get in trouble for sending so much and so many pics but i hope u get my idea lol

again again like the majority is me brainnstorming and throwing ideas at you, you can totally just ignore all of it if you like or choose to or whatever its all good

thank uu for all the feedback!! none of my changes were rlly extreme i mainly just separated the lighting, added more trailing fabric and tied her hair up.

i didnt go super crazy with the lighting cause this is just a character design thingyy (still added the fun pink + blue lighting cause i want to make it look good cause its for my portfolio teehee
