#Hey so I’ve been drawing for 9days now and wanted to know how my progress is and what to improve

For 9 days? This is fantastic work! Best I’ve seen for such a short amount of time
Now, unless you’re using bases, it’s important to know how to draw from scratch
The fundamentals of art are probably the best way to learn how to do this, they help us (as artist) become better draftsmen and give us a sense of “realism” to our drawings. Helping us to communicate our concept or idea even better
I would also recommend btw to draw for drawing sake! As you need to find a personal motivation for you to keep going rather than just “I wanna improve” because that can often lead to burnout and major frustration
Draw a box is an incredible resource for many artist of all skill levels to learn about line quality, perspective and form. It’s hard but if you master it it’s totally worth it! (Not that I would know lol) the whole course can be of great value to you
Or you can do it in smaller exercises in your sketch book along with your other anime style arts 🙂
I wouldn’t focus on anatomy or colors for now, because that’s decorative. Imagine let’s say you’re building a house
This house holds all the “fundamentals” that are of value to becoming a great artist, having a good structured base helps you to have a better grasp of the “following” fundamentals and basics, making everything else easier as well as you creating better art as a result
But
If we have a weak understanding of the fundamentals or we don’t take the time to learn them, then everything else can become much harder to learn and I also believe it can make the “pretty parts” of a style or art piece we wanna learn that much harder or maybe even improbable
I’m only saying this to emphasize how much value these things have, and if you wanna improve at almost record time, study the fundamentals for hours each day
But I don’t think that’ll be fun…for me it wouldn’t be
So I would again emphasize the value of having fun, as the most important thing in the journey to drawing, don’t worry about improvement just focus on getting what you think is the most valuable and fun TO YOU at that time and also ask for critique, and find ways to draw what you like
