Just finished a small sketch of one of my ocs that I did to practice drawing anatomy (and people). Any suggestions?

(Just to be clear this is the first time I’ve tried drawing a person in ages)

Uhhh are they meant to be this long?

the legs are way to long, making everything look way out of proportion

R the legs purposefully rlly long it looks kinda funny

NO💀

They are too long to show perspective

#

Height does not change in perspective but some parts get more focus

Ah

#

tbh when I was drawing them I remember thinking they were too short at some point

#

That must be why

This made me realize

Height isn't the result of legs growing

It's the body

So I think I'll try making the body bigger next time instead of just 'leg day'

Well, yes but no

That's not perspective man

#

Looks like daddy long legs

#

If the character is 6 feet in perspective it will remain 6 feet

#

Use measurements like head

I was mostly correcting the legs…😔

#

I honestly don’t even know that much about perspective

I’m just trying to learn to draw a human body correctly

gritty ocean
#

Yeah that would help

#

(I will say I counted like ten heads which is about 2 too many so)

(Actually it might be how many heads are going to the legs rather than the rest of the body)

(Lemme check)

(Yeah I think I see where I went wrong)

(If it were ten heads then that would just mean about 5 go to the lower body, and the rest to the upper body)

(But I can clearly see the imbalance)

(I may be wrong though, I'll wait for your input)

The legs shld be the length of the torso plus the head
