#Do you think that the skin looks dirty?

Lovlely art, I love her eyes ❤️
The airbrush tends to make some art 'dirty' or 'muddy', try experamenting with other brushes
Or watch youtube videos that focus on learning to use the airbrush
Am also wondering about the scales on her face, are they in the skin or are they supposed to 'rise out of it'?
I'll check that out! Thanks ❤️
I honestly don't know ahahahah. I just knew I wanted to make her with scales. Maybe 'rise out of it' is cool. I already noticed 2 details I need to improve, I'll work on them, but I have to finish it until Monday.. and I also have a Math teste on Monday so we're short on time ahahaha. But I'll make it
i love the eyes and the design!
i think it’s just because you used airbrush with the wrong colors as well. just using a darker color of the original tends to make the art look more dirty and muddy. i recommend using a warmer color and then making that color darker.
The reason why u might se it dirty is bc u didn’t use the full potential of colors u should move more the color wheel i say look into color theory
Thank you guys! 🥰
Hey, if you feel like it, I put a couple of pages together to give some shading ideas, because I noticed you used black (or something close to it) for shading and white for highlights.
If possible you want to avoid using either and instead go for coloured highlights and shadows.
A lot of people like to pick a colour opposite of the main colour on the colour wheel for shadows.
Personally I think it's fine as long as it's a slightly cooler shade.
But when you're confident enough you can use whatever honestly.
Here's a colour wheel for orientation
Skin colouring is a little different from dead objects. Depending on blood flow you have different colours in different areas
You might want to avoid pure black and white anywhere though
Some people use these charts for colours of the face but it's not a must.
It can give you a quick breath of life into a flat face though
Generally you can experiment more with colours in shadow. It can change the mood of the object
The base colour is the same on all of them but the shadow colour is different
I don't know if you can use any of this but I like your picture 🙂
OMG THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH UR AWESOME
