#Making art feel less empty

I have a problem where my finished art feels empty and I'm not sure what to add to make it less so. These are months apart but are my most egregious examples (ESP THE ONE WITH THE BED)

Hey 🙂 Your art style is cute! I hope I can help.
I don't see any of them as being especially empty to be honest but I noticed that some of your values are very close in fore- and background, especially these two:

#

I think that might give you the feeling that they're lacking something in the background. If you want to you can add a little more contrast like so:

#

the colours are a little off, i just put something dark on top but I hope it can show what I mean

#

The one with the bed I'd give some contrast too, especially because you have a lot of big areas on the left where nothing much is happening, maybe add a pattern to the pillow

#

and for the last picture, I think it's great to be honest, I would just center the figure and not cut off the shadows feet

#

I hope you like any of my ideas 🙂

I think this impression is partly bc of your really simple art style(not saying it is a bad thing)
If you detailed some areas it may look less empty
You can either do it either using line art or values&color

You can also add diff objects to bg or just patterns
