I think the sentiment is there, however i feel you focus more on mood and shading to the point you lose sight of the original figure

You need to head back to fundamentals. Stop using the airbrush, it makes your forms look more muddy

Additionally, all the colours here dont reallly have a good contrast. It has to pass the squint test, aka: if you cant really make out a clear image if you squint, its not a good image

Focus less on fine details and mkre the larger form.
