Hi, I'm trying to get better at adding stuff to the background of my art but I don't know where to even start. I started this piece with the intent of adding a background or something fun around her and all I managed was the little panda 😭 any suggestions on where to start or what to do in this piece would be great.
The whole thing is still a wip and a self portrait so don't be too mean about her looks lol 😅

Its really pretty, i love the shading, one thing i would suggest is add more lines to the hatching of the cheek bones to make it more cohesive, and for a background maybe something simple and abstract? Like sparkles or assorted circles?
