Yes i agree. As a beginner, i still have some tips for you! First off, remember how light works. When you have a ball with a light shining off of it. You’re going to have a light and dark area, but also a light bouncing off the ground, giving you a bounce back shadow. Kinda like this. I’ve highlighted the bounce back shadows for you.
The circle in the air is where I’d be guessing the light source is.
Now let’s apply this to your drawing. Also, I don’t know what this creature is but there is a random indent in the back. I’ve changed and highlighted a few things that looked or looks off.
With the eye. I’ve highlighted what I presume to be the head skeleton. As you might see, the eye placement happens to be almost right up against where the hair starts. While humans and horses have it a little bit farther down and to the left as you can see.
