It might be a bit rough considering you want to make the light source her scissors and her needle, especially with the pose you've chosen. I would say go for a softer/lighter approach to the lighting with like an airbrush tool? and maybe change and dim the lighting down a bit or make it a soft blue to signify that it's her blue needle and scissors that are giving off the light source.
A lot of really good potrayals of lighting like what you're going for they use a lot of filters. A vignette filter might help you get the dark and light contrast POP you're going for. (Reference to Vignette Filter/Effect below)
