I’m working on a series where the panels are slides, and in this context, my OC Lena is talking really fast while hoping Marliene will forgive her!! This looks off from my POV and I could like criticism on how to make it more interesting and comical!! (Comical in optional here)

Hi! Try playing with the text and the speech bubble itself, for example:
(1) Filling the whole bubble with text to the point that you can't even read the whole thing (I found a japanese example, but I hope you can get what I mean).
(2) If you want to keep important information, you can also use bubbles as regular but fill the background with filler text.
(3) Make that the speech bubble itself is overbearing/annoying the character, like a pillow or a blob being very close to her face.
