Hi! I'm drawing this as an anniversary gift for my partner and would like some thoughts before I finish up the render. I'm not too good at backgrounds, maybe someone could help give some input on what would look good there? It's supposed to be Resident Evil inspired, so maybe something that'll further contextualise it in that sense... Thank you!
#Anything I can add to the background to make this piece look more "full"?

Maybe trash and broken wires from a power line? :0 ALSO you could add ash flakes if there a fire or maybe a zombie on the ground? :0
HI! Sorry for the late reply! Hope im not too late, happy anniversary!
I think the background looks good as is!! I think the foreground could have a little something, since that wall seems a little bland and has nothing of interest on the lower half of the image.
In terms of resident evil, maybe you could add some herbs or maybe maybe thing of where this would be within the games? This reminds me of the section in 6 with BSOB(?) I think thats what theyre called, basically el Gigante, so maybe you could add some form of bullet vest or something to indicate the urgency this character is going though!
other than that, Id bring the wall closer to the character, since the bottom half isnt close enough to their feet for them to be leaning against it, makes sense?
either way youve done an amazing job rendering the clothign! it looks really good!
But if you want to improve the background, Id say just go stronger with the silhouettes, maybe just some broken buildings or something. I dont think many people would look over there for too long anyway, and the colour youve used implies that its far away too, so it doesnt need much detail
