you can convey a lot with just the eyebrows and mouth, you don't need to change the eyes around too much to able to convey emotion

as for the hair, I think it looks pretty good just as the rest of the drawing, although maybe you'd want to add more strands to it

don't overthink it. look up expressions online and see how you can simplify it in a few lines.
