If you look at it, the colors have a warmer vibe. You could even make it more "dramatic" by giving the sky a warmer tone as well, if you want to symbolize heat
judging off of ur current photo tho, it does look like a plain desert and those do exist
heres some reference photos of those aswell
sometimes I look at all of them and think: what are things that are common in each of these pieces? and it can be as simple as "they're all mostly in the color red" or "They show mostly bumpy landscapes" because then u can see if u could imply that onto your art piece.
