-I think you can do well with making the lighting more sharp ie: darkening shadows and lightening the lights. usually if the lighting is stronger, than it will overpower the shadows and colors its hitting so all the light should more or less be the same color - like literally i mean no multiply or anything an example is this drawing where if you color pick you can see that all of the lighting is blue and its also really sharp

-another point about lighting is subsurface scattering and especially this drawing I think it will be very useful ; quick rundown is that its when the light goes into the object and bounces around inside. like when you glow a flashlight into your hand it turns out red on the other side. So to help, just underneath the lighting layer or just on the edge of the lighting add some pop of more saturated color

-also another tip for shadows is to add a colder color of the same value as the shadows on the inside to add depth and pops of color

-lighting is hard and if you want I can demonstrate w your drawing a bit but on permission ofc

  • idk if this helps but I hope it did- I LOVE the colors! i personally think the patterns are fine and super cute so yepp <3 love it shes so cute AAAH💕 😭

subsurface scattering mostly occurs in lighter places so if the cloth is more transparent yeah but theres no need- i meant mostly for the skin and hair <3 again, beautiful drawing wtf
