#Energy in the poses + background

when given the opportunity i really reccoment using the background as part of the scene, like here I used the clouds to show the movement of what is happening, additionally, most of the clouds lines point to the subject helping bring your eye to the areas you want
addiontally i cropped some of it, while it is tempting to show the entire character, i think for the effect you may want, getting closer to the action may help
all in all this should help meld the subjects into the background,
also leaving some contrast for the main area could help rather than putting a cloud behind them @fallow crane
if you make it a bit bigger, you can have more pixels in the face. the pic the other person send is pretty good, making them bigger in the whole piece. then you can add more expressions to the faces. green girls face is pretty good
firstly to show movement, i imagined that the motion of each character would act like a leaf blower, pushing the clouds in the direction the characters are going, shown with these curves
the next composition principle used was leading lines, when lines point to things its helps make your gaze get sucked into that area
see how it brings your gaze up to the person on the stairs or the building in the back?
additionally, i filled up the outside of the drawing with more clouds since they are low contrast, very grey, using more dark blue sky behind the brighter characters in the middle
when presented with low contrast and high contrast, you will often look at the higher contrast first
i put the sunlight in the compoition to complement the shading you already had on the characters
i put the cloud in front of some of the character since that area is less important to the message of the action, and having some overlap makes it feel like the characters are really flying thru the clouds
