A problem designing a character (?)

so, thats the character I drew, I havent looked up any face references or anything, but I really dont like how it turned out, it feels weird to me, should I make it more stylized (like anime or something), or realistic(I havent discovered what I like more, I love both realism and anime 😭 ) ? Also is something wrong with anatomy? Id really appreciate any help

his face isnt too big, i think the problem is its too short. at this angle i think youd see the upper lip and above, or something around that
