Tbh you just need to increase contrast and lower brightness in your art program. You could also try to define some hard edges where the darkest areas are.
I rly like the way you rendered it, I guess my only comment on that is that it's a bit inconsistent. Like, the nose is rendered different from how the forehead is, but this is just a nitpick.
