I've avoided colouring my art for a while now, but I think it's time to change. Here's my attempt at colouring an old piece of mine. I followed Marc Brunet's anime cel-shading tutorial for this one, which might have resulted in a little too many layers. Are the colours alright? Are they fighting for attention? Did I overuse the air brush? Tutorial recommendations are appreciated as well; I'd like to try different processes. Thanks.

i honestly think it looks good if you are really worried about it maybe try experimenting more with new colors?

Hellooo!!!

#

Ooh i love colours lemme just moosey in on here.

#

The colours are alright. However it depends on the style. right now what seems to be lacking is your use in colour for shadows, but if youre looking for a general style then this is alright

#

i hope its ok but i decided to play around with some colour-balance adjustment curves for the desired affect and i landed on this rather quickly.

yeah!

#

all you have to do is use a curve that looks like this

#

this is using colour adjustment curves and colour balance.

#

its gen erally how artists cheat the system and make vibrant paintings fast.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of colored lineart! That might be worth giving a shot. I'm especially a fan of darker reds/browns!
