Between the two choices, it is up to you 😉

Though, a portrait is usually used for capturing the details of the character along with their emotion, whereas a full-body will capture the background (if there is one) to provide a message or to give off a certain "mood" of the drawing.

If you want the character's emotion to be the main thing noticed, a portrait is probably the best option.
