How to make this dragon look like a real dragon and not a fluffy monster?

The animal is unclear I'm not sure what it is. I love the person and the effects in the background

It kinda looks like a wolf but the top part blends into the background to much it looks like it has a large forehead that never ends or has a really long neck and and bending down. Like giraffe long.

Rim light would help that

I think you need more contrast in your colors, i know the intention of the gray dark, but, maybe it's too much?
