Hey there y'all, so I want to do one of those hairstyle charts for my characters, but I kinda don't want to follow the template, essentially I'm looking to talk with people about hairstyle ideas for these characters (it seems I can't send images)

A good idea when you're indecisive is to pick three you like and stop at that don't look any further! And pick out what you like about each one, what caught your eye in the first place? Combining things together to make a hairstyle is another option

You can do this every time pick three new ones out
You can either choose one out of the bunch or keep all three and really just focus on what you like rather than what you don't like
Depends if you want a speedy process or not
Don't think about it too much if you just think “Hey this looks interesting/I like this” Keep it, that's it don't think any more until you break it down.

Like the main thing I've been thinking about was like I wanted to like come up with styles that are like new/different for each of the characters (except maybe space buns/twin tails for the elf)

Okay then you could combine ideas that you like or you can take inspiration from things that have nothing to do with hair. Like snakes! A snake has a tail. You can make the hair long in the back and have it curled if you prefer that way. A snake has a tongue. You can make the bangs resemble a snake’s tougue. Some snakes have their neck ribs sticking out (I think that's what it's called) you can add that too! Or you can look for another idea to combine so it isn't obvious you took the idea from a snake 🤷♀️

While the topic is interesting in a way to combine styles and topics, Its something I definitely will be considering, though I guess maybe like more exact hairstyle names so I can Google said styles so I know what I'm working with
