Thanks for the input, but sadly that doesn't help me much at all. Maybe a demonstration can help me get what you mean? But for now I don't understand.

Ok, so hair has layers and drawing in your hairline will really help give you a better base to create the main shape of your hair. The lines you’ve drawn are coming from a single point, but hair doesn’t just come out of one line on the head. If you add a hairline, figure out the shape you want and use those shapes to create the base of your hair, you’ll have a lot more luck in giving it volume. I’ve redlined a basic hairline to start, but looking at references is also helpful!
