but what Barotrauma is, it's basically somewhat complex-ish game about a crew (the players) exploring the alien unknown depths of the planet in the submarine, be it an official type or the one made by the community, trying to do a specific tasks, roleplay or sabotage such tasks. With there being different jobs. There is Captain, who is in charge of the submarine, drives it and tries to give orders on what to do over the radio. there is security, which maintain peace, kill sea creatures with all means possible and usually being the prime people to pick to investigate for artifacts in the diving suit. There is medic. simply have to keep everyone alive and stable, give them heart massage, morphine and other things needed for survival. and then there are engineers and mechanics, they do the dirty work of maintaining the sub, be it the generators, the nuclear reactor inside of the sub, wiring and etc.

Mechanic which repairs
Engineer which keeps either the electrical system or the nuclear reactor in top shape
Security which mans the ship weapons plus protects the ship inside from the beasts that manage to infltrate and pesky traitors or griefers

there is also singleplayer campaign where you play the game with bots (or even in multiplayer mode), but while they can do some tasks they can be a bit dumb.

yeah you must be captain if I recall? So like the game is more about managing the bots to do things mostly I guess.
but on bots being a bit dumb. there was one time me and my friends had to get the flaming artifact, which always was on flames, unless it was in water, so we kept one area always filled with water so there won't any explosion or anything. Some minutes later, we have some bots injured and the boom an explosion and damage on the sub. we checked on what was going on, the bots opened the door making the water drain and the artifact setting itself on flames again, making the sub go down in the process. 
oh yeah forgot to mention. Sub can go down and overflooded with water, basically failing the mission. It doesn't go down very quick, but it can surely and slowly can if the crew isn't there to fix it and great numbers of crewmembers can almost always fix a giant leak or infestation.

I wonder if anyone at Supergiant ever heard of a Brazilian Indie Game called "A Lenda do Herói" (Or, the Legend of Hero). It was kinda inspired by Bastion a little bit back in the day. It even got an English release called "Songs for a Hero" recently.
It's basically a Medieval Fantasy-themed 2D Sidescroller where your every action is accompanied by a singing narration matched to the theme of the stage.
Here's gameplay videos for the first level, with cleaned out songs (Translated English and Original Brazilian Portuguese respectively). Though their full version is actually much larger since there's extra verses for secrets and things like standing around doing nothing or almost dying or discovering secrets. It's honestly pretty neat.
