Fun idea: have a "boss rush" of sorts based on Heracles' trials ending with fighting the man himself.

He gets poisoned causing him to rapidly die, but he's half immortal, so he builds his own funeral pyre (from while trees, no sticks here) and burns himself alive.
Then because he's Zeus' son he rises to Olympus.
That could be one answer tbh
He's already undergone his apotheosis but he's not a full Olympian god and has no reason to communicate or bestow boons on Zag
If there were some kind of DLC where you go up Olympus or such he'd make a great mid level boss though

Hades, Nyx, Nyx’s children, and underworld employees like the Furies are very rigid, follow the rules, and pretty bureaucratic.
So it was likely an assumption that they followed those rules while being straightforward. Olympus tends to involve a lot more treachery, pettiness, Zeus not keeping in his pants, etc.

There were three or four visits worth of conversation to establish that and I somehow missed that the Olympians didn’t send her to Hades knowingly. I wasn’t aware it was an eloping situation. That could certainly piss them off, especially if they assumed the worst and acted without listening to the explanation.

It’s one that you have to not actively seek. I’d really only recommend “trying” for it if you get a fishing spot in the first area and DON’T have Poseidon as one of your selected gods for the run
You could then switch on the Poseidon keepsake to guarantee he shows up after the first boss
Or if you have a boon in the first room with a fishing spot, giving up. Then put on the Poseidon keepsake and go back in, but fish BEFORE you grab the keepsake.
Or even if your first room doesn’t contain a boon but has a fishing spot, giving up and putting on the Poseidon boon.
It keeps the seed for your run, but adds Poseidon to the pool in case he wasn’t. You don’t count as losing the run in that first rooms, it’s just as if you never left the courtyard.

@hazy onyx Based on what I read here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacrificial_victims_of_Minotaur in Plutarch’s telling and here http://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/Texts/Plutarch/Lives/Theseus*.html Theseus got all 14 safely out and it was other victims from previous tributes who died/were imprisoned. Nothing to do with Theseus failing or being a douche and in fact in Plutarch’s telling one version says Minos was happy with Theseus for beating the Minoan Taurus in wrestling. The douchey part of Theseus comes from the Ariadne part of the tale later.
Also, nothing about Theseus losing the war against Crete. If anything his actions on Crete basically ended the war in peace (after victory which included killing Deucalion at the gates)

@austere patrol with 1.0 they added the feauture, so basically after you beat the game a lot, im guessing after the epilogue as well, you have a conversation with hades, where he tells youre free to summon other companions on his fight

@nimble otter if you don't run em3 regularly I'd suggest trying another attempt and then forcing poseidon the next run, I couldn't get poseidon to acknowledge it for multiple runs until I ran em3 again. a lot of these things are some bit of rng but trying again never hurts

I think I've reached the end of Dusa's plotline, ||but there was no such talk about Nyx firing Dusa, basically Nyx just tells her to focus on her job, also apparently Nyx was the one who gave Dusa her companion in first place, which in turn Dusa gave to Zag.||
||I mean, I've maxed both their hearts and think I've exhausted all dialogues with Dusa, but there was no clue about her being fired. The last few important conversations Zag and Dusa had was about returning all her Ambrosias, and that they remained friends for eternity.||

I think it’s more complicated than that. She’s not ignoring Dusa’s perfectionism. It’s a major part of why she sees Dusa as emotionally unequipped to do the job, if you pay close attention to what Dusa says she’s being critiqued for.

I'm a little late to the excalibur naming thing but
Remember that those weapons are sentient and alive, in a way. The process of awakening different aspects and such that Zagreus does is all mystical and such, and I think he mentions a few times that he has visions of the different aspects when he unlocks/wields them
What probably happens is that when Zag awakens the Excalibur aspect, Stygius gives him a bit of an acid trip and he gets to have visions of the future, of Arthur and Excalibur and all that and that's how he learns things about the weapons
Same with every other weapon I assume
