its mostly for high heat. Once beat the game a few times, you'll get the option to make it harder. Certain difficulty levels impose really harsh penalties (by limiting your boon choices) or force you to sell stuff.
So you want to basically optimize that run as much as possible to try and beat it.

i can confirm @night rapids that i dont think the requirement for ||surface fish|| follows the room requirements, because I've definitely ||fished just before leaving Styx and giving sack to Cerberus (came out of tunnel, fish, turn in sack, leave), then saw a surface fish||

It just ends with her saying she doesn't feel that way. I'm just thinking this whole time she's clearly got a genuine crush, has even awkwardly asked you out earlier on - at least in the way I construed the words. Yet apparently, far enough in, she just... says she doesn't feel that way. @stiff ridge Didn't quite understand the question but let's see if this helps, Guan Yu is the first aspect you unlock and for that you need to unlock any 5 known weapon aspects. To unlock the other weapon aspects you need to
1st) have Guan Yu unlocked,
2nd) spend 5 blood on the weapon that you want to unlock the aspect for
3rd) get the phrase from the correct NPC.
Check the second pinned message on this channel for more info on each aspect.

i had a bow run which went really well and i flawlessed minotaur in the fight
then theseus just blocked literally all of my attacks so the fight took what felt like an hour and i died because i couldnt see his attack windows bc of particle effects

@jovial axle her keepsake basically gives you an auto-pom to a random boon. Personally, I think it's okay. Be randomly buffing a boon you forget you have and then you notice a tiny increase in damage output or damage resistance or whatever you got.

Not really man, the game is full of dialogue and different interactions if you want to force story and quests to trigger or advance just crank up the Pact damage and suicide run a bunch of times

theres a lot of dialogue i'm encountering again that i've already seen, i think some event flags were reset or something, thats the best i can guess. also last poseidon heart reset on me and i gained it again.... after i've already long since bond forged him, so....

the Hidden Aspects defintiely provide a challenge to some degree: heavy damage, slow attack speed, and sometimes, a moderate penalty.

I can't remember the hammer upgrades, but already, what I can recommend is maybe use ||Demeter|| for Attack or Special. Hope Artemis appears at least once to get Pressure Points. maybe Ares or Dionysus on some stuff.

I think if you progress too quickly through the story it gets all out of wack. Now I'm stuck going where ever the patroclus quest line takes me. I had my first dream sequence on PC after I already made it to Greece post boss. It was weird and anachronistic.

Nah. More ||after you bring Persephone home. Hades basically assigns a shade as a Resource Director in his room||.
Personally, I'd dump as much darkness into the Mirror and maybe some house cosemtics if you happen to want to do that. I think some of the cosmetics require darkness.

there's also a ||Nyx related quest|| that requires a lot of Darkness, so if you havne't done that yet, DEFINITELY try to keep roughly 3000 Darkness.

There's a theory that the original myth version of Zagreus was seen as another facet or version of Dionysus
The fact that they play with that using this conversation is a fantastic touch and it really goes to show how much effort and love Supergiant put into this game and the characters
