ambrosia is used because it gives it another purpose. outside of the characters who offer you companions and a couple exceptions who have higher affinity levels but dont give you companions, everyone else only uses a couple ambrosia. companions are given to you at high levels of affinity and require being given an ambrosia to receive anyway, so it does make sense.

Ambrosia is very valuable once you can use it, possibly even more so than blood
and you'll be able to get several lakes' worth of blood from prophecies and bounties after your first clear

But you'll get used to it, just work on clearing with all weapons, and at higher heats
and it's better imo to start by turning options that look fun all the way up, one at a time, then clearing at whatever heat that gives you a couple of times, instead of pushing one heat at a time

I have found that gods tend to give their unuque lines when you're not using their keepsake. At least it worked like that for me.

I think that's because there are extra voice lines for reacting to a keepsake, or when a god is the first you meet in a run.
But then again, gods tend to react to all sorts of little things, like heavy damage taken, so in the end it boils down to whether the fates will it to happen.

Not only do you need to acquire the duo boon, but it needs to be preceded by the according duo dialogue. That means you need to have progressed with Demeter as well.

the general gist of zeus is you need to collect other gods' opinions of him
you technically need zeus and demeter duo at least twice, because the second convo that comes up between them is the specific one that's required
you also need at minimum 7 other god opinions of zeus, minus demeter (she is required)

artemis has about seven lines about callisto iirc so it's pretty straightforward. hypnos takes. a while. just inherently due to the nature of how you even get than to appear at the house, I have never progressed their dialogue without meeting than in a run

The game will always give you the free room before a boss, and if it offers a Chaos or Erebus Gate, you'll be offered exits to a shop or free item.

Normally, those consume a Chamber count, so you'll still fight a Fury at 14, Lernie at 24, and Heroes at 36.
But right before a boss shop or free item, they will extend the biome length by one Chamber to guarantee you get a breather room before the boss, instead of taking its spot.

After you give a character 6 nectar, their relationship will lock and you need to complete their individual favors to unlock them. Afterwards, you can gift them ambrosia. A few certain characters give you legendary keepsakes in exchange for their first ambrosia.
The EM3 comment was for Deedy, its the Pact Extreme Measures 3

so you can spend a day playing it and then suicide for progress in learning the instrumen

So unless you plan on doing 400 runs, I recommend playing it a bunch per run

I'm not at all worried about Supergiant Games messing up 1.0.
The creators of Bastion, Transistor, Pyre, and Hades as it is now aren't gonna mess up 1.0.
That's just not what they do.
They leave the messing up to other game devs, so that they can create more amazing games that we all cherish.
That said, if you have any worries about how they handle the story in 1.0, you should definitely put that in #hades-feedback so that they can see it and take it into account.

For Master Chaos (they/them, btw), Defiance is a Legendary boon, pre-req (I think) is having another Chaos boon, so it'll never be your first. I've heard something about Assault being tied to the similar Mirror Talent (Fiery Presence, iirc)

Just keep talking to Aphro, if it takes a while longer and you're not getting any "key" dialogue (boon flashes when you pick it up), then maybe f10

Since we are in the spoilers section: Are we all convinced that Homer is the narrator?
Like at first I felt smart when I had my suspicion came up, it was when the "Victory" message in wich the Narrator goes "what shall become of him and I" popped up. I was like uhh, so (like it is tradition for Supergiant) the Narrator is also part of the story. Who could it be, well, wouldn't it be fun if it was Homer?
Then I got myself the Homer Bust for the West Hall (At least I am 99% sure it is him, after all it is his likeness) and the Narrator went, "uhhh who is this as yet unknown but strikingly handsome man?" At that point I didn't feel so smart anymore because that was quite on the nose.
Anyways my question to you dear Supergiant Discord: Does anyone have a different guess?

I'd say that Homer is the most likely candidate as far as poets go, but considering all we have to go by is the depiction as a bust, I can't discern with as much certainty as you do.
What does point in the same direction is his bibliography, with the appearance of Achilles and Patroclus from the Iliad. But in the same vein, one could argue for Euripides, for example.

I mean Euripides is a fun guess. Still as a dev setting a game in greek mythology why Euripides over Homer? There is nobody that has heard of Euripides but not Homer but the other way around I'd guess that's actually the majority of players. When you go for a deep cut like that I feel you need to do a bit more to explain to the audience who that actually is and why he is better for the game than the guy everyone thinks of right away.
Maybe it'll be in 1.0 but as of now, I see like three or so more or less obvious nods that it could be homer and Euripides comes a bit out of nowhere for me. Like if it was him I'd expect more Herakles stuff in the story.

Once you have maxed Thanatos with nectar, beat him during one of his encounters. When you meet him at the house, he should eventually mention Zagreus' personal growth, and later have the gift option with ambrosia (other voice lines can get in the way, as is usual with character quests, so have patience). Afterwards, remember to gift him first, as he is prone to poof away after talking.
