he's pompous and arrogant and wrapped up in his not-rivalry with zag lmao but theseus and asterius still have quite the amicable relationship regardless. frankly i think asterius has to have the patience of a saint to deal with theseus, but he does so willingly, and that in itself says something to me.
even zag asks why asterius follows theseus, and the player can no doubt relate to zag in that moment (and i surely did), not understanding why mild-mannered asterius would put himself through theseus of all people.
but asterius has his reasons, and i think if it really came down to it and asterius really felt that theseus needed to be pushed back down a peg or two, he would be able to do that and theseus would heed him

@ancient sentinel Titan Blood lets you unlock new aspects for your weapons or level up aspects. You need to unlock all weapons first in order to do that.

I actually disagree with their philosophy of never breaking compat tbh. It's resulted in a ton of tacked on currencies for building up various things when fewer resources but better tested by resetting saves would have been better

because depending on how many runs it takes you, you might not figure out the whole thing with demeter, if you're really good (or have god mode on lol) you might just clear before Zag's dream of rummaging around Hades' desk

Taking that into consideration, I think it's safe to say this is the 1st time they are developing a game with community feedback into consideration

and the endgame will probably revolve around either breaking said restriction or just accepting/finding his place in the underworld after making it a better place maybe

There is no way the game will end in a single run the way it is built
That’s why i said the whole zagreus will be trapped below because contrivances

again, they've literally just removed prior content that referenced the "ending" at that point. when the game ended at hydra, zag accuses his father of cheating him, that zag could have gone farther. when the game ended at theseus, zag questions whether the surface even exists or if its just a lie. you cant get those lines anymore, because they no longer apply to the current gameplay. i legitimately dont see how the current ending will be different. again, i think they will have it set up in that you need to achieve a minimum amount of runs before you can trigger the actual ending in any way, to encourage the gameplay loop, but otherwise they will probably simply remove references to zag's instant death instances, as they already have done.
they've been working on content specific to the ending since the start of the year, we know this with certainty, greg said as much. so therefore we can reasonably assume that any content they've put out this year so far has been released with the final update in mind
we aren't privvy to their planning process but i dont know why it seems to be such a stretch that they arent planning content around the 1.0 ending. im sure theyve had much of the game's narrative planned out from the very beginning and have changed and altered things through development as things came up, other things didnt pan out, ect

Hades is a pretty joyous game all around. I saw someone complaining that honestly zagreus is too nice and it's true lol. The tone of this game is much nicer than it initially appears.
I think it will be possible to see credits on the first run. That's a thing that Rouge legacy and dead cells let you do.
The problem is that most rougelites have either contrived or non existent stories. When you beat dead cells, the main character just travels back to the beginning for seemingly no reason
Not a very satisfying ending scenario. Dead cells has more story going on than just that but in the core loop the story is dissapointing for sure.

I would be satisfied with an ending that put zagreus back into the house, but his position there and appearance of the house fundamentally changes. Like the house opens a bonus wing or something. Also of course some special gameplay additions. I know we allready have the pact of punishment, but maybe a new currency that pushes your power further. Or some more mirror upgrades that unlock after credits.
