i think ive already established myself as an ares fan around here, hypnos and ares are my top favs. hypnos has a lot of untapped potential that i dont see really being delved into even when he does finally get more story content. and its kind of a shame the olympians will never get as much development in general since theyre considered secondary characters, bc ares diverting from his typical interpretations in myth (violent, brutish, whiny, ect, just the standard fare you would expect from someone that's war personified) to being respectful, almost a gentleman, while still keeping his core bloodlust and desire for violence is just so good. really wanna know how the team came to that characterization. being so different from what i initially expected is what rocketed him to the top for me

Returning to Achilles, i have a similar praise too: every Achilles interpretation (aside from what, the Fate Apocrypha one?) always depicts him the same and they're not wrong! He is who he is, an ambulant nightmare with problems at being a normal component of society. Hades' Achilles was also like that, but since here he's already dead we see him in a different light: he's matured, now that he's dead many things like pride and rage don't make sense to him anymore, not after learning the price he had to pay
