i've done several runs with the twin fists and i'm really digging it. combined with ruthless dodge, it makes you play very fast and aggressive

and i love the special kick the hammer gives you

looks visually nice and combined with ares doom it's a quick way to explode into a pack of enemies and apply doom to all of them

The new chamber is a way of seeing the boons, trinkets used and stuff from all previous runs. So you can see what stuff you used to beat a run if you didn’t screenshot or something; or how you died - that kinda thing

hey guys i was one dialogue away from getting sisyphus companion, (talked to him and meg about his escape) but i couldnt get hades to mention it. Now apparently its longer/harder? I cant even offer meg or sisy any ambrosia or anything. Same goes for Hades. Stuck.

The same thing happened to me, though that was before the current patch. You pretty much just have to keep going through the game and waiting for the conversations to trigger. That's what I had to do. I was stuck for over a dozen runs.

I can confirm this. The topic of 'can you romance Artemis' comes up every so often so let me address it and similar discussion points. Note I totally understand why players would wonder, especially if they don't realize she is Zagreus' cousin (Zeus is his uncle and her father).

Our game does not strictly adhere to canon mythology, which would be impossible anyway because canon mythology is filled with wild contradictions. Our game at least suggests how such contradictions might all fit into the same world.

This is a game about a story about a family. It has many lighthearted elements despite some dark visuals and themes, and we want players to be able to relate to some of its characters and situations. For the family relationships to be built on incest would be ruinous to everything we are trying to achieve -- there was never going to be a world where we explored that aspect of Greek myth.

There are other fantasy works out there that explore the darkness of incest, such as Game of Thrones, so if you want those types of stories they're available. Not to mention in some original mythology.

I think this game has some capacity to spur some players' interests in learning more about Greek myth, which I would highly recommend, since it's fascinating. By all means dig into some of the horrors of the source material and consider the choices we've made in what to represent and what not to. Part of why Greek myth survives is that it has been handed down from author to author, and they all take the liberties they feel are necessary to make the stories compelling to their audiences in their age.

Long way of saying: Nope, no romance route for Artemis. It would totally violate canon myth about her, besides. You'll get to know Artemis better as part of this update and I hope you find we've done her justice.

My takeaway from that is that a few of the stories were intended as didactic parables against incest, but some were just conflations of characters who were spouses in one tradition and siblings in another.

It doesn't help that at this remove, it's hard for scholars to discern original Greek oral mythology from Roman revisionism.

I think it's safe and smart to ignore the subject either way 🙂

i like being able to reroll boon choices but i really felt the lack of being able to reroll doors

it hurt when i kept having to take doors i didn't want

I think the reroll boon choice is odd because it's like, if you want duos and take the duo boost the boon reroll isnt that particularly helpful
