I'm still not sure of Demeter's "mortal hating" dialogue is supposed to foreshadow anything? She doesn't seem to hate Zag, and I don't think anyone else in the Underworld is mortal, so what plot-relevant mortal is she upset with?

what i understood is that, much like her husband, demeter think that the mortals took persephone and maybe demeter thinks shes dead? since she compared perse with her late husband, and she also doesn't believes in helios

my s/o deeply believes that, for whatever reason, hades is keeping perse in the underworld somewhere, but that doesn't really makes sense since when you kill him for the first time, he says to zag that if he finds her, to tell her that cerberus is doing fine

A theory that popped into my head recently is that Zag (or other children) are the only ones capable of finding Persephone, who is intentionally keeping herself hidden (perhaps to prevent/worsen some catastrophe?) - hence why Hades mentions that he is under obligation to keep Zag from exploring the surface

But I think it's more likely that all the Troubles™️ are the result of bickering gods, since there are references to some disagreements

I unlocked them right away because prior to update that introduced House Contractor the Gates were in the game by default and I wanted them back.

Though if you are not running with 5+ Heat, maybe it's better to wait. If you are running with much Heat to begin with, it should not really matter: it took me two evenings to unlock everything in the first tab (though it involved completing some Prophecies that reward diamonds).

as for the first heat you should take, i recommend extreme measures, as it adds new scenes and dialogue to the game while also changing up the gameplay significantly

I just got the spear mod that allows me to dash to the location I throw it. If I press the same button I go to it and if I press a different button I recall it back to me like normal. The issue is that I'm so used to pressing the same button to recall it. Is there any way to swap the key bindings so that I press the same button to recall it and a different button to go to it?

Since according to Greek mythology , Persephone is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter , and that Hades essentially abducted her and made her queen of the underworld , it would make sense to reference that event . Also , does Zagreus even know about the whole kidnapping thing?

idk I would PROBABLY be more charitable towards Demeter's interpretations if she was calling her daughter the right name. It's a bit of a sore point for me (which I imagine is intentional, considering the writers) and is a pretty clear signal she isn't as close as she wants to believe.

This land is not unlike your own in certain ways. For, Helios the Sun has not shone down upon it for some time. How long, I really couldn't tell you, little sprout! Long enough for mortals to take notice, certainly.

Re: Hades - despite all his verbal putdowns, he has a line I heard in one of my most recent runs, telling Zagreus something along the lines of "we're all each other has" in his dying message. I can't remember what exactly, but I distinctly remember he said SOMETHING about it.
