I can't say I'm familiar, but I was thinking of something like say... a Chaos run, where you have the Egg and for every 4 heat you use, you gain one random boon. All room rewards are hidden and instead your Fated Authority rerolls all of your boons, and you get random enemies from all environments
Or one called Speed Kills where you have both Lambent Plume and Pierced Butterfly, as well as Mort, and can only get Hermes boons

The level structure is incredibly similar, the boss structure is similar, boons work incredibly similar to cards/relics, and we even have shops along the way as pacing moments that also offer us possibilities with our runs (or can play a very specific role in many runs).
The end of the games in early access are pretty much identical with you just dying and sent to the start again until the game was finished and you got a real ending.
Heat works very similar to the ascension system in Slay The Spire as well
The structure of the games themselves are very similar, but applied to completely different genres. I'm really happy about that because it works amazing honestly
