I saw it that way too, but y'know the duo skills? when you get the duo skill with Artemis and Aphrodite, there's a unique bit where Artemis gets all flustered when talking to Zagreus and Aphrodite comes in and basically does the equivalent of going "ehh??? ehh???" while bumping shoulders and head-nodding towards Artemis
that was a very elaborate way to say "suggests that she likes him" i think i need sleep
but yeah that moment kinda sealed it for me so i just kept gifting artemis and then i quickly found out i cannot anymore so i cried eternally (0.1 seconds (it was probably because i stretched a bit (thinking back on it i dont think i actually cried)))

I think Persephone makes a lot of sense, in so far as she has a lot of potential for power, we have more relationship hearts we can build with Hades that we can't access yet, it would subvert the 'I was a good mother I'm sorry I was never there for you' trope, and Persephone has likely already shown a lot of selfishness as (if she left of her own volition) she has essentially left the world in eternal winter as she went off and did her own thing while ignoring the consequences of her actions.

the lines before he dies sometimes shows a small change of heart but once you go back he talks like nothing has happened, which is to be expected given that nothing can really happen past that in the current state the game is in
