Zag is going to spend 6 months with his mom, then go back to the underworld and spend 6 months with his dad, and that's why winter happens. Every year the god of life and blood has to fight his way out of the Underworld to bring spring back to the Earth and visit his mother, then dies and goes back to the Underworld to spend time with his father and the rest of his friends.

Hades is fully bound to the Underworld. He is incapable of leaving. Zagreus, being half-cthonic and half-olympian, is only half-bound to the underworld, so he can leave for half of the year.

I think Zag might have trouble, if Achilles was right about him being god of blood, as being such a direct descendant of Hades might mean he inherits the curse as part of his bloodline.

the characters that give special keepsakes are the ones with the locked hearts. first you need to gift them nectar up to that point, then fulfill a certain condition to trigger an event that unlocks those hearts
from then on, you give them ambrosia, and the first ambrosia you give lets them give you a special keepsake

It wouldn't be completely without boons, with you could probably use the Pact that forces you to give up boons between areas to get to Hades with none. Would just need some luck in Styx
Or probably a bit easier, get to hades without any useful boons. pick up the one that turns poison into a slow, then ditch your poison, for example

@fickle yoke the reason im asking is because i had a bag as the end of a boss path. Also please learn to be less sarcastic. I just wanted an answer to the question.
So i think i found a bug for everyone to know, if you clear 1 non boss path, take the end portal, and exit the game. (i came back like 12 hours later) but i then cleared the remaining 2 non boss rooms, and found no bag. I then cleared 1 boss room and had a boss. The final boss room had the bag, so i think the game resets the area by picking 3 rooms to put the bag in, but since only 2 non boss rooms were available, it took a boss room as well in the choice.

Q: I just unlocked the pact of punishment. I'm still playing with no heat with my other weapons in order to get the 0-heat final boss blood with them. Does that make sense or should I increase heat to refresh my drops from the other bosses? Would that mean losing the 0-heat final boss drop in any way?

you can't lose rewards for lower heat levels
if you play at higher heat, you'll just earn rewards for the next heat level that you haven't yet cleared
so playing at 5 heat when you haven't cleared 2 heat will get you the 2 heat rewards, etc

If you haven't cleared at 0 heat, you can clear at 1 heat and get the 1 heat bounties.
If you haven't cleared at 1 heat, you can clear at 2 heat but not get the 2 heat bounties, only the equivalent 1 heat ones instead.

All three aspects for the Exagryph seem terrible on the surface. Two of them are negated utterly by one of the best upgrades you can get from the hammer, and the other requires that you fire one of the slowest attacks in the game, meant to be ranged, at your own feet

dashes reset auto timer it seems, and you shoot twice while dashing, so if you've got a hermes buff for like +4 dashes you can fire off 12 shots in half a second when using the dashes
downside is it's difficult to hit enemies while you're hyperspeeding
i'm realizing that extra dashes are like the best hermes thing because it indirectly boosts attack speed via dash attacks :x

Yeah. Dashing side to side while firing can be difficult, but if you dash directly away or towards your target, your aim becomes a bit more reliable.
