you are mostly right but it is possible to upgrade the legendary keepsakes up to rank 5 and they can be used as often per run - but still only once per encounter - its not really clear tho

I get it can only drop once per fight.... but shouldn't it be once per room then, if Encounter means same as it did for every other item before.

the difference is that it can be upgraded to be useable up to 5 times in each run but still only once in any encounter

must be since the Max Uses would be 1 on a lvl1 that seems they refer to the same - not sure how it could be improved

I dont think there was a separate thing you had to buy/do? Unlike with ||Sysiphus and Skelly,|| where you had to ||get their Fated Prophecy and then do a thing they want and/or buy something from the contractor||

Yeah that's why his relationship with meg and than is rather strained.
He cares for them but he is also on a personal mission that if successful will quite possibly result in him never seeing them again.

It's pretty bittersweet and reminds me of Pyres ending in a way.

But at the same time. Zagreus goal is noble and pure. He is doing what his heart truly wants and that's a good thing. Yet it still causes conflict.

From the dialogues I get a feeling that Zeus and Poseidon help Zag kind of as a way to prove they are better than Hades, like “Hell is such a dumpster and your dad is the largest pile of garbage, but your good uncle is here to help you”. As a whole the whole Zag escaping thing feels more like entertainment for the Olympians (except for Artemis and Hermes),||even Artemis when you piss her off in trial of God’s she says something like “ugh why do I bother with a half god”||, as they don’t see Zag as an equal, I doubt he’s gonna have a good experience up there

Zag being “inferior” to the other gods is kind of a reoccurring theme, Hades makes a lot of comments about that, ||gods don’t bleed but zag bleeds, and calling zag “the god of talking back to me”|| I’m not quite sure about Zag’s linage because I don’t know a lot about Greek mythology but I think there’s something there

Well, technically it was just the titans at first from memory (there might have been something before the titans, maybe? idk im not well versed on mythology), then the gods, then everything else, but everything technically came from chaos anyway.

what if, once the game was done, there was an expansion not focusing on zagreus but on heracles, more precisely on heracles' last labour : bringing cerberus out of the underworld

instead of trying to get out of the underworld, it would focus on Heracles actively trying to get further down

it would be a prequel as zagreus is a major fanboy of his, and theseus is jealous of his popularity in elysium. He's nowhere to be seen (I think) and his legend is what matters most in conversations

Heracles would be nowhere a flashy superhero as Theseus is, as his quest is one for forgiveness after murdering his children and wife because of Hera in the mythology (which would be a good way of introducing Hera in the main game as well, probably with a vengeance/spite mechanic because of her... role in most greek stories)

Due to being a prequel, it would make sense for the styx to be less infested by satyres (cause it's more recent) and elysium to be easier (because the art of battle wasn't that perfected in this time, and there were less wars for people to proves themselves in anyway), while The Hydra being stronger could be explained by It having a bone to pick with Heracles

cause, you know, heracles was the one to kill it

The elysium boss could possibly be a younger, untrained zagreus determined to not let his precious dog get captured by this surface dweller, and, through being bested, get that respect and eventual admiration for him that he shows in the main game

last boss would of course be cerberus, as defeating and taming the beast is Heracles' fate in his own storyline, and he eventually brings it back in it anyway so there's no continuity error to be afraid of

the reason for Heracles to come back to life would be Hera not letting him enjoy the rest he deserves yet until after he gets the last labour done, and his lobby would Mycenae, where he could interact with King Eurystheus as well as characters from his myth, such as Phyleus, Augeas' son (from the fifth task where he basically had to clean some very filthy stables), or Iolaus, his nephew who helped him kill the hydra

it would be possible to get some emotional scenes from heracles as he meets with his wife and children in the underworld

he could also have unique bosses in the form of those he slain during his quests, such as the highly resistant Nemean Lion, the three-bodied Geryon, or Hyppolyta, the queen of the amazons with which he almost began a relationship

Thing is, all the npcs acknowledge your various attempts, so "tell it again" kind of doesn't work since you're not really starting over, storywise.

@alpine basin yeah all the voice acting and writing work that went into post-Hades dialogue suggests you're actually expected to beat him more than once

The run is pretty short and not that hard without any Pacts too, so if one Hades win is all it takes a ton of players are gonna miss out on massive amounts of content

The first run I escaped was also the first time Thanatos showed up, and I still haven't seen Orpheus

First things first, I opened up the codex after speaking to Achilles about the fated list and Zag said "whoa, Achilles thinks I'm the god of blood?"

No mention of that in the codex anywhere and - though this is also after I had a conversation with Hades in which he said Zagreus has weak blood, which might have been the trigger - it definitely throws a wrench in my old god of rebirth theory

This has probably been brought up before but I don't have the time to dig too far back unfortunately. I'm not sure if it's even meant to be in the game atm?

to see which character have special keepsakes just look at their hearts, after you've given characters enough nectar they'll either have a locked heart or a heart with a clock on it. Clock means that's as far as their quests go for now, lock means that an event must trigger in order to keep going with them. Once you encounter a lock on a heart, talk to all npcs with exclamation marks above their heads (characters that have close relationship with them are more likely to be involved in the quest), and their quests will be naturally integrated in their interactions. They will also drop hints during these interactions as to what you need to do (if not tell you outright).

When Gaia convinced Kronos to slay his father, Kronos ' brothers Hyperion, Krios, Koios, and Iapetos held down Ouranos and used the scythe to cut Ouranos into pieces and scatter them. Ironically the war between the Olympians and the Titans ended with Zeus using Kronos ' scythe for the very same purpose
