We all know how much Than and Hades love to chat about the on-going war on the surface that kept all Than and the other two Furies busy for a while.
And the snowy battlefield with Hades could be a wink from the dev that Persephone is not really on the surface right now.
So she's either somewhere in a deeper layer of the Underworld, and we have to fight our way back and go even deeper than Thantanos to find her. Oooh, imagine if we have to find and fight the Fates in order to break whatever curses the Underworld-born have!

I learned the hard way back in the beefy update that his bonus speed makes him infuriating to deal with.
Its especially fun (end me) when Aphrodite or Ares is rolled and he has the increased speed on that attack as well

If you've got a super bursty build, I recommend going after Theseus first.
Most of the time he leaves himself wiiide open so you can go all-in and really stack damage on him. It helps he only has the one Impervious moment, unlike Asterius who really kicks it into gear when he hits 25% HP.

Considering I typically play ranged weapons I don't have issues with kiting the Minotaur. My issue is always finding opportunities to damage Theseus and I find it harder when he's faster and alone.

i put one of them into getting extra ammo for the rail and then turned around and got me an alternate shield
so the keys are not restricted to the weapon you unlocked them with so far as i can tell

Just go a run with enough heat to satisfy that heat gauge (you can exceed it, but i don't know what would happen if you beat hades with an overfull heat gauge. Either it'd just raise by one like normal, or possibly raise to whatever you had it at plus one), and you should get at least one key per run.

In this update, 3 way with the Sword, Shield, and Rail.
The bow makes a close number 2 and the Spear is... well still lacking tbh. (Not too much though)
Spear attacks too slowly and doesn't have higher damage amounts to balance it out.
Even with the intended nerf to Hestia Spread Shot the Rail is honestly still incredibly powerful. It's just no longer game breakingly powerful.

The reason I have the bow at a very very close second isnt because its bad, but more just because it cant reach the sheer damage insanity that the Sword, Rail, and Shield can meet atm
Hestia Spreadshot got nerfed but its still incredibly effective, and the Sword's high tier atm because you can get artemis cast and just spam the heck out of it with Poseidon Aspect at an insane rate.
Since I would honestly place Artemis cast as "best cast in the game" atm

Builds like Poseidon Sword and Eris Rail can make that number insane since those damage buffs will scale up the crit damage (The Eris is a flat bonus damage penalty on everything, multiplicative to the final calculated damage, and the Poseidon increases your base cast damage, which then gets affected by crit)

I think that the "renovations" is just a clever and immersing way of talking about the updates, as work on the updates is ongoing.
Also, building off of @candid bear's point, you can't get out because we aren't in the 1.0 release (when the story is complete), but that the "mortals" (Us, the players) wouldn't stand waiting on them to be continued indefinitely (Because we wouldn't wait forever for the game to be complete)

Dashing to break the vases is the least choice I wanna take, since it seems like a 50/50 chance of me being stuck there. And with a King of the Underworld chasing right after my a** (it's an Asian idiom), I would prefer the safer option of just avoiding the vases in a safe spot in general (if I am not already busy beating the 4 stars out of Hades. When he channels the vases, that's when he's most vulnerable.)
@frosty fable well, technically, they ARE on a timer. But they depends on Hades's shockwaves or when one(s) of his green casts explodes.
So in additions to learn how to dash to avoid the usual shockwaves, you must also be aware of the urns' exploding AoE. It's a learning curve. So you will get better with the patterns over time.
And don't feel too bad if you get caught one or twice and lose a DD. I always need at least 2 DDs with me to face Hades anyway.

My tip for Hades is to run the broken spearpoint
Prevents you from getting combo hit by urns, melee attacks, or lasers
Since everything Hades does is 20+ damage it always helps

I lost my best streak a while back. I don't even remember what it was from, but the game being stingy on the five main boons happens, sometimes. the tldr is Patroclus was ||Achilles best friend (can also be interpreted lover) while they were both alive, and Achilles refused to fight in the Trojan War because he was mad at the Greek commander for a lot of really dumb reasons, so Patroclus wore Achilles' armor and posed as him in battle. This eventually got him killed when Hector (the commander of the Trojans) broke Patroclus' spear and stabbed him. Achilles carries the guilt of getting his friend/lover killed through the rest of the story.||

I hope on some level in game/ in dialogue the pact being his boon is canonized, I like the idea that while Hades is incredibly bitter and angry at Zagreus for trying to leave part of him wants to see him make it and succeed where he couldn't the pact and its punishments and bounties being a way to both help and spite him, and to try and teach him and help Zag grow to better then himself even if he makes himself the villain in the process.
So far I can see a lot complexity in their relationship and we still have almost none of the overarching story in place yet, hades even says one day they will talk, and knowing SGG its gonna hurt 😅
