Meg defeated... If there is a voiceline for beating her without Mirror upgrades, it should probably happen in the House of Hades Lounge, so I'll continue this run and see what happens

I am confused about Dio's poison mechanics.... I get that it does damage every 0.5 sec but for how many seconds overall? The leveling up of the booms increases the damage per tick but it doesn't say how many ticks are there total

After killing the hydra I got new dialogue from the narrator, where he seems to be having trouble thinking of new things that could have killed Zagreus and he says that this time "a very small but very deadly beetle" kills him. And before I got another one where the narrator was saying that "seven bloodless and slam dancers" all ganged up on me at once and killed me.

Just posted this in the discussion thread, but since I literally blacked the whole thing out with spoiler tags, I figured I should just post it here instead:
I seriously hope they include Demeter, so that she can tell us more about Persephone and make us more personally invested in the endgame,
It would be kinda disappointing to work so hard to meet a character we know next to nothing about and then for the game to end
that's why most 'Child meets estranged parent' stories have the two meet really early on but not realise they're related until the end or spend most of the narrative telling us about the parent, only for them to completely defy expectations when we finally meet them (usually by being evil, but I hope they don't go that route)
I also hope that the dialogue we unlock by giving Hades Ambrosia involves him telling his side of the story, so we learn more about Persephone and their relationship but also so we can compare and contrast it with Demeter's version of events
I just think it would make for an extremely compelling story if: every time we meet with Demeter she rants and raves about how Hades is evil and cruel, that he kidnapped her innocent and pure daughter, then manipulated her into staying with him
Then when we talk to Hades, he tells the story as a love affair and that Persephone willingly ran away with him
Then, when we finally meet Persephone, she reveals the truth was somewhere in the middle
I'd like to believe she genuinely d... did?, does? love Hades (because it's less depressing that way)
but also loves her mother and was a lot more conflicted about choosing between her life in the underworld or her life on the surface than either of them thought she was

I think this would definitely fit into the sort of story they've been telling so far. As with past games, they've done a good job of humanizing everyone. The olympians aren't squeaky clean (and have some nasty jealousy problems, goodness gracious!), and the chthonians aren't evil incarnate. I'd like to see that kind of nuance in how they deliver Persephone and Hades' story too. This new update has been hinting at the jealousy of the olympians as another possible endgame complication, too, once they discover you're looking for persephone and not escaping to Olympus.

So I don't actually think the reveal that he's not actually going to Olympus will factor into the end that much

Fair enough. Hades' feelings toward Zagreus are another interesting avenue they'll probably flesh out more at some point. Like, it's already clear he cares. He hinders Zag's escape, and I think there was a codex entry or something pointing out that he would very much like his son to help with the household chores, so to speak.
