Nothing is mentioned about their significance that I'm aware of... They're called remembrances though, so for now I'm guessing just lore/character motivation is their purpose

I've always interpreted the remembrances as flashes of memory from Zag's upbringing that he uses to remind himself why he's running...no matter how much he may think that, you know, maybe it isn't worth it, dying over and over for something he isn't sure he'll be able to reach, he then remembers some of the most terrible or most impactful (generally in a negative way) things Hades has said to him and it reminds him of why continuing to live there as he has is intolerable

I'd say shield Zeus could work really well? No matter what you get as your first boon, you can make a build out of it by putting in a few poms.

Shield bash and bullrush have pretty normal damage and while you don't get much damage with shield throw, it will let you run around dodging things. Would be a long run, sure, but not an incredibly hard one.

Doubt it, The Olympians are many things but philanthropic isn't one of them,
They don't care about the Cthonic Gods, you could argue they hate them

There is no way they'd help Zag, even Athena (the reasonable one) unless it benefitted them somehow
Remember: they didn't even help Persephone and she's Zeus' daughter, there's no way they'd bother with her son

I assume it's mainly Zeus' idea but Athena is a tactician so she'd absolutely lie if she thought it was the best way to achieve her goals

Am I the only one who thinks Ares' characterisation is a little odd in this game?, not bad, per se, just odd...

I interpret Ares as a God with a near endless longing for conquest, violence and domination but not death specifically

Like, he wants to defeat his enemies and cause them as much pain as possible along the way and DOESN'T CARE who dies along the way,

@bleak osprey As for more enemies, I got a Chaos boon that gave me 30% more enemies. Next was the Tartarus room of 2 inferno bombers. Only, this time I got 3. shadegrief

Worst runs for me happened yesterday. Went into the inferno bombers room in Tartarus with chaos boon of taking damage if I dash. Went in with full health, 3 death defiance. My typical run focus was just to grind out as much darkness as possible and get really good boons. I beat it with the Spear, cause I find the spear to be the best base weapon by far. (The bow and sword contend very well imo if you manage to find the hammer and get specific upgrades on them.)

I also basically learned that unless you have some way to deflect the purple projectiles, the Hydra is nigh-impossible. (Unless you can tank stupid amounts of damage)
