Usually with hera; you NEED the instant return to be able to keep casting sometimes. With poseidon; you don't depend on anything.

Chance to take 0 Damage is cool, Being able to keep dishing Cast Damage without keeping track of the Bloodstones (or having to wait for the bloodstone to come back through the wall, APHRODITE) is also a good quality of life. Move Speed is...I mean, I guess, but eh? Attack Speed depends on your weapon/Hammer upgrade, could range to meh to chainsaw, Special Speed, a little more meh, but aighty.

Like, sure, you have obtained a slight boost into your attack category, but what I'd like to see is stuff being fundamentally changed, like the number of Death Defiances, I suppose. if Chaos was more prone to giving you a boon that would do something along the lines of "allowing you to kill the first none-boss enemy in the room after one strike" or on Legendary occasions, grant you the ability to have two Key-specific boons at once (i.e. having Artemis's and Ares' Dash Boons).

Yeah, I guess you could play it like that, I didn't think about that. The way I usually build it is just send it out and run away from it as it returns. Build on hit effects and special damage and sometimes upgrade my cast as well.

@dense locust Well, I knew I wouldn't be able to do it with FO or TD, so I had to use full lvl "No Choice" instead. Which meant I had to go through the entire run multiple times at no heat except "No Choice" to find out which chambers (including FA re-rolls) gave the boons I needed to be strong enough to win with.
All this I wrote down so as not to forget.
Then, I turned the Heat all the way up and played through that specific roadmap.
If it looked like I was about to die, I'd Give Up.

I enjoy special + cast builds on Hera. I sometimes don't even have an attack boon. Obviously the bounce attack is good for like Aphro or Dio application on top of your cast, but that special is such a potent shotgun (risky, but sooo much damage at pointblank)

Props to @brittle carbon for showing me this. I just had an unreal run.

Weapon: Guan Yu
Attack: aphrodite weak
Special: athena special (epic), level 5 iirc , ~180% damage increase
Dash: athena dash (common)
Cast: dionysus, level 5 or 6 (can't remember), doing around 300 damage
Call: athena (2.4 seconds)
Extra boons: daedalus hammer 1 - special 400% damage against armor, daedalus hammer 2 - charged skewer, 200% special damage
Other boon #1: hermes, special speed 21% increase (rare tier)
Other boons #2 ares battle rage (which adds 200% damage to attack or special after a kill)
But perhaps most impressively: i had 240ish health (on Guan Yu!)

Conclusion: I murked hades on 10 heat. i had 225/250 health after phase 1. (i took damage from one arrow from one of his minions.) Hades couldn't touch me. Unreal. In phase 2, I played waaaay more loosely and took damage here and there from the pots guys. I ended up with like 160/240 health and all death defiances intact (had 4 including skelly).

Lulz. What a run. I was easily doing around 700-800 damage against most enemies in Elysium.

Only negative: It took me 41 minutes even with that build. lulz, i'm such a slowpoke.

Anyone know if this interaction is intended?:

When using Eurydice's Ambrosia Delight while having Exclusive Access if the upgraded rarity effect targets a common boon, that boon will become epic rarity instead of rare.

Wasn't certain if I saw correctly the first time it happened but have now been able to recreate the situation multiple times

Exclusive Access reads:
*Any Boons you find have superior effects.

Minimum Boon Rarity: Epic*

So I assume the way it works is that Ambrosia Delights functions as removing the old (x rarity) boon and acquiring a new one with the same Lvl which is then assigned a x+1 rarity which get overridden by the minimum boon rarity effect from Exclusive Access

@serene nexus creates a super large aura when you use nova. the aura slows down enemies in it. It also has a slow but massive range moveset and you can cancel the special with any action
