I really liked that time before the winter update when you could take the artemis keepsake while running a cast build and actually get some double cast/exit wounds boons instead of endless crit boosters while your only means of critting is a common pressure points 🙄

Artemis cast has built in crit chance and the highest base damage making it strongest vs bosses. Also it's one of two level 1 boons that unlocks the deeper levels of her cast boons so unless you see the "cast fires a second projectile" you want to take it for earlier access to exit wounds and fully loaded

@turbid needle Been testing Delta Chamber some more and the results are as follows:
Dash striking does change the 3-round burst to a 4-round burst with the extra shot coming in almost simultaneously with the 1st shot.
However, dashing seems to do nothing to affect the new cooldown between attacks, meaning you're only benefit for doing so is that 1 extra shot.
So, Delta Chamber by all accounts is indeed far inferior to the old Infinity Chamber.

I liked pierced butterfly and used to use it with Hestia a lot, but once I really realized that running that the whole time is roughly equivalent to a Chaos boon, I switched to using Hermes. Time crunch has been more fun for me than no damage crunch, and even forces me at times to care less about my health in order to clear a room faster. And considering you can only get dodge through hermes once, I find it more valuable than Than's damage, personally.

My main problem with hermes (i've posted this in feedback) is that the "survive for 45 seconds" room is impossible to get it, and the than room is nearly impossible, because if his AoE is down he won't spawn a wave until it goes off, which really ruins it

For 15s, yes. But I haven't hit the magical 30% with those two boons active myself

I normally don't mind them, just with the Hermes boon. But if it auto-gives you the 1.2%, then I have no problem with them. Good to know on tight deadline though. I'm beating the final boss with each weapon and slowly moving up in heat, so I'm only at 13 or 14 heat for all weapons now. Gotta get those bounties. So I haven't used tight deadline yet. Especially since Styx feels like RNG with it

I don't think you'd have trouble with rank 1 of deadline if you're hitting lambent plume most rooms

Honestly, my heat currently isn't by "which ones easiest" but "which one is most fun" for the most part. So right now it's bosses + 40% attack speed and movement, and then just a smattering of hp/spawns/damage depending on how I feel

So I imagine I'll put it on eventually, and that's good to know. I just figured it was going to be reworked at some point, so I never really delved into it

It should, additively, but remember that Aphrodite's "Different League" is from nearby foes attacks, whereas Athena's "Bronze Skin" is all damage. So if you're not seeing a difference, that may be why. That being said, I never tested the numbers myself, but it should function that way

God mode is something you can toggle under your options. It gives you a flat damage resistance that grows every time you die (not death defiance, but lose a whole run). It's made for people that may want an easier time with the combat system

At base it's something like 900 damage without crits for the volley. Can crit the volley for 4k+. Then if you have exit wounds and pressure points or heart rend...well, it just adds up

It's insanely strong, but at the same time requires so many pieces that, well as they said "when things go well" because when they don't it's challenging

Theoretically, at level 1 (no poms) with 6 casts and all casts crit, with exit wounds and clean kill that's 3.6k per volley. Can get another +50% for privileged status, then the chaos boons that add extra casts and cast damage add up too. And heart rend would add another 150%. I imagine you can hit 5-6k damage if you're really lucky on your boons

(I've done a run where one volley would hit the damage-gate on the final boss each time, where they go invul and spawns enemies)

Definitely personal preference, but I'm mid-teens in heat and I've only had success with Hestia. But I don't have Eris leveled up and am biased. Base Zagreus aspect hasn't worked for me at that heat though

(The problem for me with base Zagreus, and the same problem exists for Eris to a lesser extent, is that those aspects limit mobility, which is hard for me to handle at heat)

don't go out of your way to stand in the damage area. that and always go for special upgrades with the hammer. when you have the 3 in a row or 5 spread it's much easier to buff yourself

I've gotten Hestia to 32 heat, but I'm not sure if I could get Eris to 32 heat. I feel like I would have to not really use it as a long-range weapon to do that, to double up on the special hitting Zag and the monsters at the same time

I would also argue that Eris might be better for low heat, and Hestia better for high heat. At high heat, you might be stuck dashing very very often, so reloading during a dash isn't much of a dps loss. But on low heat, where you can spend a decent amount of time continuously attacking, then the rapid fire of Eris might be better
