I like that cast builds feel stronger after the update. I've only done two runs since the patch dropped, but both were easy peasy clears with the new mirror perk and the fact that Artemis' Hunter Dash was changed to be any damage, not just attack. Sick nasty Zeus casts bouncing and splitting to hit every enemy in the room for 800 - 1007 damage in the second run. I didn't even get to see the megagorgon because it died before I really even noticed what I was fighting.

@jade estuary it doesn't really matter, to be honest. After your first or second boon, aiming for cast stuff, your build will end up be being more cast focused than not and the weapon is just filler damage
@hard holly and yeah, I didn't say Cast was stronger, I said Cast builds feel stronger, which is very good since they got some minor support and Attack doesn't feel overpowered with the crit dash and the quick temper perk

The challenges feel like of empty to me, but I haven't really played around with them too much. I liked the idea of being really deprived of mirror perks, but you could do that before. The damage buff seems alright for a "don't get hit ever run," like that one cloak in Wizard of Legend, I guess

Everyone has different skill levels, too. The important thing is not how many tries it gets you but how much progress you make.

Really depends on your approach to the game, i beat meg on my 5th or 6th attempt, but the first runs werent mean to win, they were meant to draw out the fight until i knew all the sounds and mechanics of the fight

Some people defeated the Hydra on their 7th try. Some took 20 or so. Some took 40. Some took 80. Some are still stuck after over a hundred attemps. But as long as you have fun and get better, there's nothing wrong with that.

Two general things to remember on Meg fight:
- you have all the time you need, don't rush, it's often better to just go around the place killing witches so they won't hurt you later
- Meg has plenty of openings, if you hit her once or twice during those openings, you'll take a lot of time killing her, but you'll eventually do it and it will always leave you plenty of time to get away from her

A few more specific things:
- for her circles attack, don't try to attack, just focus on dodging until you really get the hang of it
- for her bullet hell attack, it's way easier to dodge if you're far away from her; having Athena boons will also make it way easier
- when she prepares her dash, she's already locked her direction, so dodging means you won't get hit
- when she's running after you without stopping, just stop for a sec, and when she stops, start dashing away while she does her melee attack
- getting rid of the summons really help, don't hesitate to just run on the other side of the map hen she does a long attack so you get time to kill the minions
- remember you have a cast, even if you're not doing a cast build, they'll let you get rid of witches easily and even if you don't kill an enemy with it, they'll eventually fall down and you'll be able to pick them back up while running around

They do but I always looked at the hp bar first. It was very easy and fast to notice who has or has not armor. Besides many enemies have yellow or orange colour so it can be harder to spot. Club boi, fat drunk, Witch and skull have these colours
