I have found sword special is easily the best for crowd control
better than spin dash even
got chest done in 85+/100 range
hydra was doable as well, just need to watch those nasty arrows
if you get real close to back of head it will fire those arrows backwards
nice exploit
My easiest deathless run was with the bow and a lucky string of pomegranate upgrades on the ares boon which deals delayed damages after each attack

spear special is the highest damage special in the game
its probably the best one if used well but its still a special, so its damage and what not is still a far cry from an attack build. My first win was with a spear special build though so its not bad at the very least
i got a daedalus hammer and all three of the upgrades are for the special

Whelp, won a "shield" run. Which was really a giant Athena cast run.
spear special + athena special damage + artemis clean cuts would demolish most enemys

I did a self-imposed challenge of bow special only. Took like 5 times as long as any other run I've done. Eventually beat Hydra but was incredibly tedious and technical.
my special is already guaranteed to crit, so it's a total waste for her to offer me a "special has chance to crit" boon
She should just give you crit upgrades

Just add up all the % and thats how much damage you do for the most part. Some things seem to act weirdly
if im wrong there somebody with 300 hours can inform us all but im pretty sure thats how damage is calculated
That's right what secretlemon says (got only 200hrs in the game, I think that still counts
) . Most the time addinf is right. We tested and calculated one thing that was actually multiplicative in my stream one time but I forgot which one it was.

The 200% damage to distant foes is just a worse cruel skewer unless you already have crit damage on the spear

it's a bit strange how much of the reward structure in a run is focused on permanent progression. I didn't think about it too much early, but it doesn't take long for ambrosias and keys to become dead items that clog up your runs

That was how I beat my "shield" run last time. No good boons, bad hammer. So just big athena balls all day.
My worst win was just a level 2 epic aphrodite cast
and a bunch of really really useless boons

Also funfact for people who dont know. You can deflect the bomb throwers bombs back at them doing around 200 damage on a backstab
Yeah, having deflect attack actually makes them pretty easy as long as you don't stand next to them and let them drop 3 bombs on your head.
oh my god, trying to retrieve your cast ammo from the hydra is the literal worst
just cheese its main phase and 1 shot its weaker heads with cast burst

I would REALLY like a boon that removes stagger from damage. Most of my runs end when I mess up on hydra and catch a mouthful of purple needles.
welp, i have meg, achilles, and orpheus maxed on ambrosia now
yeah, that hitstun is most of the reason i died just now
you get hit by one and it basically guarantees you'll get nailed by the rest of the barrage

Yeah Artemis dash is a separate topic. That would serve it right to lower the crit chance to 30%or something like that
lowering it to 30% would just make it bad though. I think a better option would be the crit damage is only 1.5 or 1.34
the game has enough rng as is better to keep combat as fixed damage wise as possible
30% but 3s time. Every 3rd attack is theoretically a crit than if you use it right

True but a theoretical crit and a guaranteed crit are different. A dash crit is asking you to take a risk to get its effect. If you dont get that crit and suddenly the enemy is alive your in a bad spot, especially since you cant upgrade its crit chance
there is generally 0 risk in dash crits
This is if it only had a 1/3 chance of coming up
still 0 risk
unless you are being weird and dash critting an armored unit thats at full armor right in its face
Yeah I always dash before I shoot. So I can position myself better. Never use charge and the dash to release the hsit
so if you dashed into a room of enemys thinking you could get the kill but it didnt go off you could take a considerable amount of damage
are we considering having a second dash, or are we talking baseline single dash only
For a bow its risk less just a damage down, but look at a melee weapon. Imagine going in for a crit and not getting it. In most cases it might be negligable but in tight areas it could have a pretty big danger
id question why you are making unsafe dashes to begin with, but if you have a second dash you can get away with even some bad dash attacks
Take the challange room in the second area. Its fairly tight so even a safe dash could still be somewhat dangerous

And frosthaven, what it comes down to is a risk for high damage or no damage or a lesser amount of consistent damage. Im of the opinion that more consistent damage is better, since rng aspects in combat can cause problems but its up to the devs

The shield is the safest but slowest weapon imo

i used to be good with the shield until they nerfed the damage AND took deflect away, at the same time, which i feel like was overcompensating
the charge, right, the one that doesn't seem to benefit from any of the boons i have
i dont even use bull rush on meg usually. though i do hold charge to absorb the projectile spam sometimes

Frost i completly agree that dashing never has to be unsafe, i was just talking about a fast more risky playstyle, as most people i think wont be playing 100% safe under normal conditions

hmm i guess. but at the same time i don't want to just be okay with giving dash spam runs an easy way to clear everything - sort of defeats the purpose of the genre if you can just spam win everything

Yeah, I guess it's a problem with me, but I haven't really gotten the shield block while charging to work especially well. Even if I block some stuff, I always get dinged more than is healthy while trying to be clever with blocks.

@turbid needle i would reply in feedback, but since i cant post in that chat i guess il be doing it here. I think rather than taking away dash damage, some dashes such as Poseidon, Aphrodite and Athena should be much more defensive but dashes such as Zeus, Artemis and Are's should be even more offensive but come with a downside such as a slower recovery time

Before i get off, i would like to make one last comment on dashes. Although offensive dashes do need some punishment to stop them being an extremely easy way to win, they should still be a playstyle as watching someone dash around a big boi and just drop them is pretty funny

Only dash you can really murder things with is Zeus. Everything else isn't enough damage.
A buffed ares dash hurts
Get a good Zeus epic dash and feed it poms, you can clear without using any other button.
ares dash does pretty good damage as well. its just bad against enemies that move alot

Some happy medium needs to be struck where dashs are still a viable source of damage, yet a buffed up zeus dash can just 1 shot everything
I like to imagine Zag just rubbing pomegranates on his legs.
they just need to tighten up the ranges on zeus dash

anyway night everybody. I think thats because we kinda just merged them athough gameplay should probably be run focuses, while discussion should probably be changes, money sinks and questions about the game
bloodless: if armored i bait the charge or safely poke, otherwise dash engage all day
brimstone: dash engage to their side all day
inferno bomber: dash engage all day, dash out and back in if they are throwing bombs i cant deflect
numbskull: dash engage all day unless my damage is too low to 1-2 shot them
skullomat: dash engage all day if not surrounded
slam dancer: dash engage all day, dash out if they slam and then dash back in
voidstone: dash engage all day
lout: dash engage if not armored, whittle down armor first otherwise
pest: dash engage all day, dash out of mine range after
thug: dash engage all day if no armor. otherwise, reg attack until they flash > dash behind them to finish armor/shield
witch: dash engage over or around their projectiles all day

I had a decent Ares cast run with the homing / increased duration T2. But it still leaves things up too long. Was VERY good on murderboat though.

I might try a no-attack-or-dash crit boon all regular attack bow run. Just to see how it goes. I'm pretty good at just doinking everything with powershots from range and never getting hit.

poseidon's knockback stuff is really fun to use but it's lackluster on meg and hydra because there's no use for it
the secret is in talking to skelly in the armory before you hop out the window.

poseidon seems pretty terrible in general honestly
ive thought about poseidon a bit because i usually ignore him, but I feel there is value in having boons specific to clearing non-boss rooms. I imagine as we get more floors it'll be like every roguelite where you end up mastering boss fights and the rooms become the real rng difficulty.
With current content you don't get near enough time to play with the Aphro / Poseidon legendaries. Really excited for another floor so I have a reason to pursue Poseidon again.

it's a good damage buff and the knockback is very helpful when you're using bow

compared to something like, say, aphrodite, where you're probably doing something wrong if enemies actually hit you when you're using the bow

Yeah, and the extra damage to weakened foes is way below curve compared to other buffs.
once you play enough to be decent they are just paper weights in the menu
the knockback is fine, but there are other paths that give the same or more damage, plus I think his dash is pretty bad when compared to most other dashes
Poseidon makes a good substitute for Athena on attack. But with current content and numbers, nothing comes close to Athena attack and Artemis dash-crit. On pretty much any weapon.
plus, when I exhaust the attack/dash of other gods I find that they normally give better rewards than the currency rewards that poseidon dumps on you
If you get an early 2 Poseidon boons, with the bonus room rewards as your second, that can make a very strong run.
here's a question: with poseidon knockback dash, can you dash into a skeleton and be out of range of their charge? or do they still hit you?
if they can still hit you, the dash does nothing useful
You can if you immediately dash out again. π
Ive found that poseidon dash makes some really strange things happen when you hit teh same mob multiple times
If you're dashing into skeletons on your third dash you are doing it wrong. π

Neither of those are bad. I'd go for Zeus just because you're more likely to get something you can use in the ensuing room fight than if you pick Aphro.

You're more likely to get that if you take up another T1 with Zeus.

does anyone else think that the extra ads on the hydra fight are overkill, the fight is already tough enough

there's a lot going on with the hydra fight, but you can destroy the little balls that spawn them, so I think the ads are fine
good luck trying to destroy them without getting obliterated by everything else going on in the fight
I try and do green heads first. Ads are really only an issue on 6 head phase, or bad 4 head (with 3 on a side). Clearing space to breathe is priority 1, and the ads typically don't spawn super fast.
sure, sometimes ur gonna get overrun, not saying it's ideal. I think it's fine as a mechanic on the fight though, the question is rather if they should have a longer timer to make it a bit more manageable to get rid of them in a safeish way
The time is pretty long already. They count down from 3, but I don't think it's 3 seconds.

Yeah, you should be clearing at least one head in 5 seconds. It's getting that first head down that is VERY important in 6 head phase.
If you're not doing that, not sure the adds matter that much anyway.

it does say "by counter-attacking right after" but there's no button prompt like in quick temper (bonus if you attack (ATTACK BUTTON) dodging (DODGE BUTTON)
I think it's all damage, I've recovered health with dash damage before
So long as you do damage to something it works. It works with the damage-retaliation boons too.
Every one of those is basically instant damage reduction so long as something is close enough to get hit by the retaliate.

How do you even get something so bad that upgrading Poseidos' dash of all things is a way to go?

I was trying for her legendary but didn't realize you needed to pick up brilliant riposte, oops
but when you and the gang gave me advice from a week or so ago, you were absolutely right, the key is to crank attack damage
meg went down in less than 15 seconds, I was incredibly surprised

15 seconds? Damn, I always have trouble dealing damage to Meg. She's harder than the Hydra for me 
it was completely luck but I managed to get up right behind her when she was casting pools so each power shot was backstab x3
poseidens knockback on the bows special, combined with the double arrows boon from the hammer is hilarious.

honestly my favorite combo with Poseidon has to be the Artemis dash boon
I lucked into getting a sword build with it and with the knockback i could just constantly chain dash after targets
i have the dorkiest build right now and frankly i'm amazed it's working out
shield + extra bounces + ares special + zeus dash
i just killed meg from the other side of the room
there is absolutely no reason this build should work and yet
hey guys my idiot build survived the hellboat with no death defies lost somehow and i'm not going to think too hard about that

this is an idiot build how has it survived to the second heads phase

i was literally just dashing round in circles and stuff was dying
(shield special builds are fatally flawed because asphodel has no walls)
Always a pain when you can't block or attack because your shield has gone on a vacation somewhere far away.
That damn shield might even have gone out of hell a few times when I threw it, given how long it took to come back.
Pour one out for another lost shield, everyone 
The way out of hell might be easier than we thought. Take the shield, find Sysiphus. Stand on the shield, ask Sysiphus to throw it. Hang on for dear life while you zoom straight to Olympus.
Also, I love how the shield hisses when you charge it.

Just got a win on a dash zeus build. Its so dumb but it put me into so many bad spots

Am i the only one that thinks the boss fights are sort of "passive" you do what you do, they do what they do and there really isnt interaction beyond your position adjusting the direction and proximity of the boss? Meg for instance, is a serious dmg sponge that does her things and your interaction is essentially only based on your position. Your attacks and actions have no impact on the fight until she dies. You dodge, ok. You attack, ok. you throw a missle, ok. There is no actual interaction aside from she follows you for her slide attack and does spinny attack when close.
I mean more variation in attacks such that they didnt rely on swarms of minions to do half the damage/distraction would help

The only real painful part of the lava area is when the armoured numbskull spawners get shielded when theres like 5 of them

the correct positioning lets you ignore the darts
Hydra is very doable, even with sub-optimal builds, once you understand how avoidable the darts are
the last multi head phase is still annoying though...

So i just found the best bug? thing ever. On the challenge boat its possible for bombs to be visually off the boat which just amuses me as the bomb is just floating there
So i wanted to play a spear crit run. I somehow ended up with a 300 damage cast that dropped in less than 2 seconds and i had 7 shots. How does this happen XD

Athena deflect is the best defensive. Poseidon has the most save me utility. Zeus looks the coolest and has the best aoe. Artemis has the best cast for single target (aprhodite may be higher damage if you hit every shot)
yeah its not a good cast but for pure damage it may be higher than artemis im not sure

also pretty weird to melee your cast, no combo flow it feels odd

It works ok on the spear since the spear has no knockback so if you mess up you can burst an enemy
but even then its only ok
weirdly enough i try to avoid cast boons, i find them lacking against bosses, besides the short spike dmg(jeah I know there are only 2 1/2 atm but still)
Weeeell Cast boons can be pretty neat if you stack dmg to burst down heads
I normally only take cast boons if nothing else the god has suits my build and i have to accept something. That make a decent burst but without a build around them they can only serve as utility

an epic Poseidon cast boon is really good for pretty much any situation I think. Ares is the hardest to use, sometimes it's useless and sometimes it clears you a room for free

if you are really really lucky and get the ares legendary early, then you clear everything super easy, only had it once tho.
Legendary are very very rare to get early. Normally you need to remove all of the basic effects first which takes quite a few boons
im still amazed that i basiclly killed the hydra with lightning dash, had other boons too and an upgraded sword special but didnt do that much dmg
I managed to get the ares legendary in the second or third room of asphodel which is still pretty early for me and I just deleted asphodel, Hydra was still hard as usual but got beaten in the end
Thats relatively early but i wouldnt consider it early at that point. I would say early is the first area and late is like the room just before the hydra.

If it's early, then usually. Depends on what wep ur using and how bad knockback makes it

at Wardroida. I don't even know how to abandon a run honestly. Sometimes I get the abandon option and sometimes it's replaced with quit option because it saved my game less than a minute ago..
Il take poseidons bonus stuff if none of his other options combo well. Id say ares is worse the aphrodite as although she has less damage than athena 50% less damage taken isnt bad..
its "quit" if you have finished the current chamber, ."give up" if you have not

Ares gives you a large amount of damage overall though. Once you lock urself into an ares run you'll get other high damage boons. Aphros dmg is pathetic without sweet surrender
Ares has higher raw damage but it doesnt synergise with anything else, nor does it activate every hit. A good ares run will get the proc to lets say 200 damage. With aphrodite its not hard to get every single attack to be doing 200 damage if built decently
Ares just needs to be built differently. One of my favorites with ares is to run it on shield with either Zeus charge or his own charge with the "anything can crit" boon from artemis
You end up with extremely safe and respectable damage

The are's special shield run is good, but only for 2 reasons. The time it takes to get back to you and how low and unsynergistic specials are

Ares boon does a significant amount of damage to begin with and increases by 20 every level. The highest % scaling attack increases by 20% every level. That's a significantly lower scaling. Ares loses out when you're spam hitting, which is why you use the shield charge, and as you hit the enemy/boss you spam your charges out, which makes it do a very respectable amount of damage while being very safe

Yes it is indeed lower scaling however its the synergies and the amount of attacks in the same time span that make % damage modifiers stronger. Ares doesnt get 100% backstab or 100% damage from dash nor a consistent boost from crit that a hunter dash would provide. Ares misses out on all of that damage will also only applying ever second or third hit potentially even less. Using a bull rush build it may be the best but since you were going on about dps i was of the thought you would be attacking in which case ares loses out considerably in comparison due to the slower effect and no scaling.

If you prioritize dps are's is indeed a waste compared to a % scaling boon. If you are playing a bull rush build you are not focusing dps but rather a secure form of damage
I can't be bothered to have this discussion while I'm out on my phone since it takes way too long for me to make my points, but yes Ares attack on its own does not scale very well with the more op mechanics like crit. Unfortunately neither does aphrodite attack because it's incredibly low scaling, and if you get a dmg increasing deadalus the difference is negligible. And yes, I stand by the fact that Ares as a complete package is better than aphrodite as a complete package, to me. As for my build I said that it's respectable damage. Helped by the fact that we're not hitting a practice dummy. We're hitting bosses that don't let you put out your maximum dps, whereas this build consistently puts out something close to it's Max dps even tho it's lower because it's constantly moving from one side of the screen to the other

Are's suffers from 0 scaling with crit, backstab and dash damage. Aphrodite although not scaling as well as Athena still scales with crit, backstab and dash quite well. If referring to focusing on only that god then that depends purely on what weapon is being used as a spear which attacks fast would likely have higher dps using just aphrodite than ares using just the delay, but for only 1 god are's would likely come out in higher damage more commonly. And while in theory we wont be hitting maximum damage in most fights it isnt needed as a full dps build even only getting 50% damage will far outdo what an are's build can achieve. For spears and bows which can easily hit 8-9 hundred damage with a proper attack are's which if everything goes right will only be doing 300 a proc falls far behind. And again im only referring to the maximum attack purely because you claimed "Dps is always my priority". If you dismiss this claim which appears to be the case as you use bull rush, which is a slow but secure damage method then Aphrodite cant be considered a horrible buff as it allows much more security while also allowing comparable damage to are's under decent conditions. Im not claiming are's build are bad, i've had plenty of fun with them including several wins, however in the normal gameplay are's damage does fall behind most gods, but allows a steadier and slower playstyle.
I wasn't saying that I won't continue, just that I can't do it right now, and to reiterate; I haven't made any extravagant claims about the build just that it is "safe and respectable damage". I have been dismissive of your claims purely because as i have quoted twice now you ignored Aphrodite in favor of Ares for highest dps as Aphrodite gives a lower scaling % but weak. Are's builds should be centered around safe and respectable damage, because he can neither achieve the highest damage (that belongs to crit chance and scaling) nor the safest (weak + bronze skin + Aphrodite damage reduction boon) however he is the king of slow burn builds. I dont doubt Are's gives "safe and respectable damage" but to run an Are's build and claim "Dps is always my priority" is just plain wrong. Any damage % boost will ultimately have more damage than Are"s (other than maybe Poseidon due to knockback) however they are generally not as safe nor will they match up with your playstyle.

I dont believe that's being aggressive just factual. If referring to the highest dps an are's build cant achieve that due to no scaling. For what he finds fun that is dependent on him and more power to him to run a bull rush build however prioritizing dps and playing how you want to are ultimately different, as one has a clear "correct" build while the other is just about what you enjoy. The only aggressive thing i have mentioned is that are's builds are a waste, and by that i dont imply they should never be done nor are they bad. They are however a waste if looking for pure dps due no scaling. I dont believe anything else i have said can be considered aggressive, however if you could point out other instances i would be perfectly happy to reword incase in came across badly or apologize if it was indeed aggressive

I'm at 130 attempts I always manage to get the asphodel, then I almost either lose at the island that moves on the fire river or at the hydra itself

re: win rate - i started consistently getting past meg at about run 25-ish i think
@grave cipher the island on the fire river is pretty nasty. Sometime you lose almost no hp other time you lose pretty much everything

i'm still baffled that the one and only time i've survived the hellboat, it was with the Idiot Build i had last night

I'd say around 40-50, I didn't change weapon until I won with it, I started with sword first and had a hard time (and an unupgraded mirror)

Wasn't your idiot build mainly about dashing around wildly? That's actually the best strategy to survive that boat.
I won with unupgraded sword, I had the fast attack hammer upgrade, zeus lightning attack and zeus legendary, that was the first time I unlocked a legendary and thought it was broken.
I'm at 27 runs and never got a legendary 
Zeus legendary isnt even super strong (against single target) but its actually the best thing to watch
I'm finally done with all mirror upgrades. I'm ready for the next patch
Also I have literally not seen a Zeus boon in my last 8 runs. He's the only keepsake I don't have ><
Now sword is pretty good. I'm glad every weapon seems viable now, at first I feared that sword was just a tutorial weapon meant to only be played until you unlocked "better weapons" and then left forever in its weapon rack.

Also to add to the stats i got consistent at meg around 20 and the consistent victories around 30. My only 2 losses since then have been the bow :/

charge dash with bow is a bit tricky to hit
mainly because I don't use them at all
Bow is easy mode for me, I had the hardest time with sword and shield, I think I just don't like shield gameplay and I play bad because of it, not because the weapon is bad
i have atleast 2 wins with every weapon and then like 13 with spear
The swords biggests problem is it's specials animation. If that was faster sword would be so fun to play

Basically movement control is awesome on controller but aiming is just relying on auto aim since aiming with sticks is a hassle

but I think in general the survive rooms could be a bit more interesting, just dashing is the easiest way to deal with them but feels very cheesy

Darksouls 3 is manageable with keyboard and mouse tough unwieldy, I mean the tutorial don't even have the keyboard notation you have to go into the settings each time to see which controller key correspond to which keyboard key. Original Darksouls on steam was unplayable on keyboard and mouse unless you modded it.

Running is the general stratergy it just feels overloaded sometimes. Sometimes all you get are 1 enemy type so you can just run but other times it gives a bit of everything which makes it much harder to deal with
I like to attack them sometimes to get some more gold, it can be risky but it's more fun too.

depends on what enemys spawn and how much damage you can do. If you can kill a few it becomes much more manageable
@grave cipher it feels like the survive room should encourage mixing running and attacking as I feel that is the most fun and dynamic
on a good run you keep the enemy count close to zero during a survive rooms, I have done that a few times with fast bow for instance
Nah the worst survival rooms are several numbskull spawners, 2-3 of those armoured mage guys that fire like 15 shots each time, some regular skellys, a couple of bomb throwers, 1-2 of those laser shooting guys and a voidstone or two for good measure
I just hate bloodless in survive room or on the fire river, their tracking on their attack can be rough, some time I dodge 3 of those attacks, then get hit once, stunned for a bit and I eat a lot of damages.
I'd say my least favorite thing to deal with is the elite witches and the elite voidstones sitting in the middle of a lava pond in the center of a room.
You have yet the throw a athena cast at the elite witchs then. That is an amazing sight

There's not really anything out there.
And there are invisible walls, because I've YEETed flying things with Poseidon wall slam stun and had to wait around for them to recover from a concussion and float back.

Curious, but is it possible to reach maximum defense? Just had a shield run beat the Hydra for the first time which was incredibly tanky with the Shield's 20% defense up, Aphrodite's 20% defense up, and Apply Weakness on Hit. I was taking 3 damage during the Hydra fight, and it made me curious how far you could go.
With Athena's defense blessing, it's possible to get another 20% up, and Achille's Keepsake grants another 20% for facetanking. That's 80% damage reduction, and Aphrodite's Weakness is an Attack Down though I don't know the numbers on it. With all those buffs, a person could basically face-roll everything.

Dang it, failed at the Hydra this time. Got only Artemis and Poseidon this run, and with Poseidon, I got to the point where the boons were only about loot instead of combat. Had a great Cast, but didn't get the "fall out of enemies faster" from Artemis, so I couldn't deal enough damage. That was butts.
Is there, somewhere a guide for what boons to take or better combinations ? π€
not really. it depends on your playstyle and weapon you are using

damn it, I'm checking different keepsakes(so far I've only been using the guaranteed boon ones) and I did a whole run using charon's keepsake. During that whole run I haven't got anything valuable in the shop.
i mean, the best you can get is 100% chance for infernal treasure. That last for 5 rooms so it easily gives 400+ obols
Then shops stop having an empty slot because there was a furniture but not anymore... I will return to that keepsake
i rarely use casts unless i get the zeus one. Poseidon is decent too
feel like people generally underuse/undervalue cast
even without upgrade, it's 50 dmg for free from safety

eh, looking at the keepsakes once again and i fell only the ones from gods are actually worth using. If you choose artemis you get pretty much 100% chance to get her dash and the game is trying to give you more boons from the gods you have already "allied" with so even better chance to get valuable boons like increased crit damage or huge bonus for crits vs armor
I stick to dusa keepsake because she's best girl and I dont wanna betray her trust
speaking of pots i have only recently noticed that there are different looking pots that drop gold when you break them π

Make sure you max out dashes, that makes the fight way easier
Backstab damage too
Bow + triple shot from hammer + dash from artemis + attack boon from Athena = easy mode
Sheβs open to several hits after every dash

Yes, but i found the fact that your defensive option does something you wasting by just not doing it right very distracting.

Objectively Artemis is the best Dash because youβll be Dash attacking anyways to maximize damage, and crit doubles the effectiveness of attack boons
and dashing into most things currently just destroys them
Not necessarily the most fun, mind you

dashes, death defies, and healing between chambers are probably the three most important to get first

Welp I cant give advices for a bow but either side step her dashes for a backstabs or cheese it with casts

it wasn't as much trouble with her as it was the enemies she was spawning
in fact i was doing so much damage i don' think i ever saw her bullet hell

She just sometimes doesnt do that attack, and sometimes does
As for enemies, trick there is to lure Meg away from the enemies
You determine her initial path
Sidestep, then dash in the direction you want her to go next before getting some hits in

Keep at it, getting gud will eventually come for you... And then you'll have a second zone 
are you supposed to be able to double attack after dashing with the chaos shield?
cause if you dash and attack it does the animation and damage twice and faster than standard

BTW can you get more than 5 gold vases in the room after meg? 5 was my highest for now and I did some runs

I have a theory that the number of vases you get is based on the time it takes you to reach the hallway, but I have no evidence
I almost always see 3... I don't think I've ever seen more than 3, in fact 
I have 4 most of the time and 5 sometimes. 3 relatively rare
