You can reach the final boss.
But the devs are working on more content after it, while also adding stuff, for current parts.
There's plenty of content to do, before more stuff gets added in.
It's also a lot of fun, once you get the hang of how the boons work.
Overall I would recommend that you get it.
If you even remotely like rogue-lites/rogue-likes.
There's quite a lot to story too.

@alpine stratus It is a little menacing to think about that because most of the weapons are just talked about like they want to kill constantly and Zag is for whatever reason the best fateâappointed option to achieve that. The gloves and the sword are the best examples of that in the lore I think. Stygiusâ codex page eventually even tells you ||Zagreus isnât warlike enough to use it forever.||

@quaint bramble ahhh yeah... you get this theme in hades of people who become concentrated on violence (exalteds, for example), and weapons being made for this purpose and that is their life and their living!! its menacing from a human pov but i dont think weapons feel that theyre evil, just...alive and having needs and drive

They aren't evil but I also wouldn't want them around if I didn't need them to battle out of the underworld. They seem to influence Zag based on their impulses and if they had a better option for a wielder they would probably leave Zag in a bad situation without a second thought.

Normally you can dodge through enemies and stand on the other side of them and they'll attack thin air, but Longspears turn extremely quickly.
If they're winding up and you can't stunlock them (like if they're still armored), get away.
