There's a new weapon and there's been plenty of speculation so far.
Also in an email they sent out earlier there was a lil piece of art that had some stuff out of frame but poking in, like a wing, so people were discussing what that could be.
General consensus since this update apparently is also reworking the Darkness currency is that it has something to do with Nyx, maybe official art or an official model for her in game.
As for the weapon nobody knows but practically everything has been guessed lol

Tip for all Guan yu users: always throw out special when you want to dash
The dash input buffers the special, so that the special will be cast whilst you're dashing
This will make the special have 0 cast time
And will land the second you dash-strike -> spin
Then you can rinse and repeat : special-> dash-> attack -> spin attack
This is especially good with Artemis attack/dash, aphrodite special and Poseidon cast/dash

Hi all! I am about to buy the game, but have a few question before i do so... As I'm coming fra the Arpg world, like PoE, Grim Dawn, Diablo etc., I really like how the combat looks like in this game. So its less focused on loot and more on smart build choices and combat skills
there is a ton of diversity
The resources that you collect that will carry over are used to unlock more content in the game, that include new weapons and different functions of your weapons, cosmetic additions to your starting area, new conversational opportunities (which are awesome). and other unlockable things that will make you stronger
And as you unlock these things, you'll start to see how many different viable builds there are that are all quite unique in how they're played. You'll find ways to reduce the RNG that is present in the game and eventually learn how to play at some of the highest difficulties. You'll feel great about yourself as you improve; you'll feel excited to see how the relationships with all of the NPCs develop. You'll want to play just one more run when you know you need to go to bed

The game is much more focused on you improving in decision making and combat
and then that core concept also has awesome voice acting, music, and art

As for loot types, most loot is per-run, and you can't pick anything aside from your weapon and (if you use a keepsake item) the first boon that you'll get at the start of a run. But you can get some WILD builds going.

Yeah the loot isn't physical things that you equip but rather blessings, or boons if you will, from a certain greek god that enhances certain things for that run
