I thought that Gungeon’s progress was amazing. You unlock additional weapons, and other items for future games, and the expanded weapon/item pool made the character more powerful. The most important part is whenever you unlocked a weapon, you unlocked the ENTIRE weapon, and not the 1/5 of a weapon that you get in this game. Like, when I first unlocked Chiron and Hestia, it definitely felt like 1/5 of a weapon.

That's because Gungeon can afford to make billions of weapons. They don't have to be actually balanced. Hades as to balance things so we don't get OP builds like the current Chaos shield. Which means fewer things, which means they either need to make them really expensive or have a second layer of progression.

I think if the chaos shield lost it’s blocking ability during a bull rush (similar to the Achilles spear), it would be way more balanced. Being able to move and attack, while blocking things, with no vulnerability and the start or end, is a bit ridiculous.

For Meg, she's pretty easy for me once I knew her attacks

Bought it two weeks ago according to steam and I've got over 100 hours. Seeing the everchanging chats with the characters and building the relationships and the decor of the underworld is a great counterbalance to the amazing combat and endless build combinations

Ive found the room clearing builds can work pretty well with not too many dedicated boons, and if you go heavy defense, and a decent damage dealer, you can get through it pretty easily. But this is heat 8-10 ish
