There isn't really a way I could imagine that working. The main reason Hell Mode is harder is because you have four fewer bounties to collect per weapon, which means fewer resources to spend. To "enable" Hell Mode mid-game, the game would somehow have to evaluate what state you would be in without as many bounties collected, which would be entirely subjective.

@worn crater yeah, tight deadline has been rough now, running just it, overtime, and harder boss fights, I usually run out if time during the boss fight, and thanatos guarantees I run out of time. I've usually pulled through, but if I turned on another 6 or so heat, even getting a good start I'm not sure I'd have much success at all.
I feel like if I don't get much damage in the first two zones, I may as well just give up, as I know the clock will kill me, thanatos or not.

The timer I think needs a nerf. It's only doable if you can run away with a good build. (And some weapons can do that very well but most can't)
It would be 28 for 7 minutes a biome.
Which is doable but you need a god tier build.
And that's considerably harder to get if you start stacking on other modifiers

But the thing about new TD is that you just cannot combine them with other heats like Jury Summon or/and CProgram, since they would literally stall you to death!

I think the timer could be extended (or leftover time you get from an earlier biome could add to the next)
Conversely, you could go both ways. You could also make the game take away time from your next biome if you run out (based on how much you go over)

The first two zones I've had ample time, elysium could use some zone tweaks, and styx has been alright, though if you don't find the bag until the 5th or 6th door, the clock gets scary

Asphodel is so wide open, especially with Bloodless jumping across the map and Gorgons and Spreaders flying over lava, but you've generally got a much stronger build for Elysium than in Asphodel, especially with the second hammer.
My two highest clears right now are 15 on Chaos Aspect and 18 with Eris. Both have maxed Tight Deadline.

Eh, Asphodel enemies dont have too much health though, as long as you can damage ramp fast enough its generally not a huge problem

And which is it? There are like 4 tier2 Dio boons. My feedback about it was that High Tolerant was a bit useless since the condition of the Lengedary was very specific with 2 conditions.
I haven't seen it yet. But I would like it to be like Ares' cast and Lengendary, which doesn't need the Doom effect to work.

I once had six Tipsy Shots with High Tolerance and Black Out. Coated the floor around the final boss and went in. It was great.
High Tolerance was bad as a prereq because you still required a Blight boon as well as one of their modifiers, so if you took HT you were waiting on four boons instead of three.

I agree the fight is too tough, but it's not a non-take. I lost one death defiance usually, or on tankier builds half health, but it could use some tuning in just maybe having stronger enemies instead of enemy spam on it since it's nearly impossible to dodge all of the attacks.

Honestly, starting from scratch is not a bad idea for feedback purposes. You have 4 save slots, use one of them for a normal run, one for a hell run, one for a god run, then give feedback on the early game progression for each. It's what i would do if i had a laptop that could run, although i'd rather play on console

There have been many half-bugs and somewhat-glitches concerning the special biome NPCs with varried rates of success at finding then from each player. My own theory is that 1) Devs reset the "runs until you find them" counter & 2) They also reduced the chance to encounter them each run.

I still like the idea of spending Darkness to warp directly to a later biome. Gives you the opportunity of picking up Bounties that you missed, at the cost of being way underpowered for your biome
Would even make sense frictionally of it was through Nyx

@odd spear Depends a lot on the devs, really. I know that, for Klei's newest game, Griftlands, buying it on Epic will get you a free Steam key when it's released on Steam, and buying it on Steam will get you a free Epic key. Supergiant has not said anything about such a perk, though, which is a perfectly reasonable thing as well.

What's the definition of "recovery" for the spear? For example, if running with the vicious scewer hammer upgrade and the achilles aspect, will you get the crit chance when rushing?
