B) You don't need to send someone out in a space suit to catch something with the canadarm they have cameras for that. C)warmth, glucose and carbon dioxide aren't going to make something grow that fast, or even move that fast. The energy, and structure, has to come from somewhere. D)That 'flamethrower' would have burnt up all the oxygen in the room leaving ryan reynolds apoxic in a matter of seconds. E)After it crawled in the fire extinguisher system, its not "anywhere in the ship", its in the gorram fire extinguisher system F) The fire extinguisher system would not directly connect to the communications array coolant system. G) No, you can't sneak in through the thrusters. They lead to fuel tanks|| and that's pretty much where I stopped paying attention.

and also, note that Life is bad hard sci-fi, not soft sci-fi

Soft sci-fi is "we're so far in the gorram future that technology is indistinguishable from magic"

not, "We poorly though tout how our black box works in this hard sci-fi"

Gosh, I don't know! I downloaded Agricola and Taverns of Tiefanthal to play it with the friend who gifted the game to me. I was checking if Dead of Winter was there and OMG it is! I've been dying to play it and I finally can!

I also saw the Resident Evil deck building game but there are so many versions I don't know which one is good. I own all the expansions in real life but I don't have friends who are into complicated board games

And it sucks because it's such a fun game!

I've also been trying to convince my fam to play Catar with me but I'm not sure if they will like it; they prefer simpler games like UNO

if you want a tablet with screen at the cost of an intuos, huion is the one to go but know this: huion uses electron magnet pens (thus those pens require batteries) while wacom uses a system of magnet and wires so that their pens do not require battery at all

which means, if you get a wired wacom tablet, you are not going to get battery issue induced lags and erratic strokes

and slates is better imo, but that's because I break things easily

would you people lie to someone important to you, to give a false hope about something important to them.. and get some time to prepare them, find good psychic specialist, etc, to get them to the point when they can accept it easily or even not take it as important thing anymore

or rather tell the truth and risk their health and maybe even life, by destroying all hopes (once again), but you'll stay honest with them and the harsh reality, where is no place for the weak, and then let them deal with consequences (or not) with specialists' help

My gut response is tell the truth and support them as much as possible

People are too complex to give a guarantee that it'll get easier with time, and even if it does, you still lied to them (potentially for a long time) about something important to them

What I will do sometimes is wait to tell someone something until it's done. For example, a couple weeks ago my car spun out and crashed (I'm fine, the car wasn't). I know my girlfriend gets a bit scared about car accidents, so I waited to tell her until I was safely off the road and had had a chance to take stock of the situation, so I could tell her with certainty that I was okay.

But that's also not quite what you're asking about, and I definitely don't see that as lying

I was safe to text her while I waited for the state patrol, but I chose not to so that I could give her the most information at once.

The point was, I waited because I knew she would worry if I didn't tell her with certainty I was okay.

but.. what if you have to choose between making someone wait and burn out from waiting for a really long time.. months maybe, if not more.. only to see if a slim chance of a good outcome will happen, or just facing them with a fact that good thing will never happen (even if it has 0,5% chance to happen), make that blow and get it over with..

I think that depends a lot on the person, and your relationship with them

In general though...I think I'd try to frame it as "I don't think this is gonna happen how you want/expect/hope it will, but I'll support you if you go for it," with an amount of support that's reasonable based on your relationship

let's presume, both things will make them feel bad enough to make a strong impact on self-confidence, to the point they can call their own existence into question

and all the support you can provide is staying online to talk

Then it comes down to trust. Do you trust that they'll be able to pull through if it gets hard? And do you even have a way to help them get the extra help they need, if you choose to not tell them (or to tell them!)?

Those are my initial thoughts, more might come to me if I sit on it a bit longer

there is also another option.. tell the lie, and then, when time comes, when things will be 100% clear, tell that something have changed, and it's not possible anymore

it's a double lie, which is even worse

but maybe during that time another ways of lending help will be found

seriously, i envy the people who can make plans years ahead and be certain and prepared for everything

while you can't even say if everyone will be ok tomorrow
