Oh, Valkyria Chronicles. I had plenty of fun with the original one modded
on PC

#

But I heard the PSP games weren't as strong

hasty kernel
#

Well 2 is one of the PSP games

#

I also have 4

fervent zenith
#

Bayonetta is a good choice

hasty kernel
#

But I figured Id play 2 first

#

Honestly Im tending towards Ys or .Hack

#

.Hack because Ive started it

#

And I hate leaving things unfinished

#

Ys because, well, its Ys

#

Ys IX localisation when?

#

I guess Ive held off on playing .Hack long enough

queen rover
#

Bayonetta is not a bad call since character action games usually aren't all that long either given it's more about mechanical mastery than length, but I'd give priority to finishing already started games

hasty kernel
#

Finished 3 games instead of continuing it

#

Honestly the story and setting are interesting enough but god does the gameplay suck

#

Its repetitive button mashing

Flyyyyyyy me to the moooon. And let me play among the staaaaaars🎵 🎵

And to think they sang this at Neil Armstrong's Funeral

Neil armstrong died?

Oh no spoilers

He died 8 years ago...

What are you talking about? lol

Imagine if Bayonetta sang at Neil's funeral.

And that's how we find out moon's haunted.

Ughhhhh, I have to sleep but just got Hades and it's too good T-T

#

I may or may not have left a quick "look, more good games from your indie games expert" note in my uni gaming club group chat

faint panther
#

I have a friend who just came back to PC after about 5 years of being on console and if hasn't bought it by his birthday (in just over 2 weeks) I'm getting it for him.

desert wadi
#

Ya, idk what witchery was done here but it runs on my 2016 non-gaming laptop perfectly.

#

My quick review was along the lines of "it's even funner than you'd expect an action game about greek mythology to be and a trash top can prob run it"

#

I've also authored a guide to $20 games anyone can run for finance club in early stages of lockdown.

tender cobalt
#

That'd make a nice birthday gift 🎁

faint panther
#

I've already gifted it to a friend as one.

faint panther

He's gotten a friend into Hades.

queen rover

Yeah, it would be a superb gift

#

Only shame is that you wouldn't be able to play it together

faint panther
#

If traffic in my restaurant keeps escalating I may go back into quarantine and then I'm gonna start trying to stream.

tender cobalt
#

Aw, spreading the Hades and SGG love 💝

#

Oh, you own a restaurant? That's awesome!

faint panther
#

Way better bug to catch than the 'Rona.

#

Oh, gosh, no.

#

I would have to be insane to own a restaurant before 30.

#

I'm just a line cook.

tender cobalt

I'd love to watch your stream sometime if you ever let me squirtyay

My rules are bonkers strict but if you do not break them next time you see me go live I will allow it.

@faint panther Love that random statement at the end shadesmile

Oh, Aranea from XV? She was a pretty cool gal

Ya, I was annoyed they managed to waste a badass mercenary with possible moral conflicts like that.

desert wadi

Anyways, ya, so xv had fun characters but the overall plotline...

tender cobalt

I just want to say, I love Yuna so much!

#

Hang on, Aggy.

#

"FFX with Tidus laugh OST mod."

hexed hollow
#

it doesn't seem weird to me, 14 is very popular and has drawn a not insignificant amount of people into the series

faint panther
#

Oh, different than what I thought.

#

Yeah, 14 after ARR exploded in popularity and quality.

#

It completely overtook 11.

tender cobalt
#

Aggy should still listen to it if they haven't yet shadesmile

desert wadi

I tried the free trial but I didn't really get the appeal

I dropped it for Tales of Xillia back in 2016.

mmhm, your best bet is doing your research on both options and talk to your doctor about which option will be best for you

faint panther

Contacts would definitely be cheaper.

In the short term, at least.

#

I don't hate working at a restaurant, but I feel like the massively varying schedule has kept me from applying any sort of consistency or schedule in my life the last ten years.

#

(you didn't know you were gonna deal with an existential talk, did ya?)

north hamlet
#

No, but with my friend group this is pretty normal

#

Also don't forget the cost of solution and stuff as well as the contacts

faint panther
#

It's almost like nearly an entire generation is dealing with massive disillusionment in the world we were promised.

#

Yeah, but dealing with small bills over a long period of time is easier for me than saving up for one lump sum.

north hamlet

Understandable

#

How do you feel about touching your eyeballs?

faint panther

Just did it now for the very first time, so I guess I could get used to it if it resulted in good vision sans glasses.

north hamlet
#

(And it's getting to more like two and a half generations if you ask me)

#

I don't think i could ever use contacts

#

I can barely use eyedrops

faint panther
#

No, see, Gen X always knew that Boomers were gonna screw them, and Zoomers have grown up in all of the decay and rot, but I feel like Millennials were in that pocket where in elementary school we were fed lies that we were gonna rule the earth and then as we started hitting adulthood we saw just how bad the situation was.

#

But that's also personal bias.

north hamlet
#

Makes sense

faint panther

Well now my eye is dry and I regret touching it in the first place.

haughty fog

#

poor guy

#

not a good Tinder profile

wide ember
#

we do that in psychology too but we have photo of margaret thatcher instead

#

recognition features of our brains tend to half-ass when not in the correct orientation, so artists must practice drawing in out of norm orientations in order to make it stop half-assing on demand

north hamlet
#

That explains the trick of error checking faces by looking from the reverse side

wide ember
#

so many times I failed to recognize an upside-down bird on a cloth drying rack as bird and got ambushed 😔

queen rover
#

Precisely, the whole point of the exercise is to break your pattern recognition, so to speak. So you don't see the lines as symbols (i.e. you see the lines forming an eye as just an eye) and instead can see them objectively, with the curves they make and all

#

I've always found Psychology to be an interesting field, truth be told

wide ember
#

it's still weird for the brain to analyse itself

queen rover
#

How so? 👀

north hamlet
#

It's meta

wide ember
#

yep, that

#

but the brain's ability to analyze itself is a prerequisite for use of mirrors, so

queen rover
#

Do you mean the ability for the brain to think about itself and try to understand it or is it something more involved?

wide ember
#

it's not more involved, just that

#

thinking about how itself functions

#

the whys and hows

queen rover
#

Right, it is a curious thing

#

Something I do wonder from time to time is animal intelligence and to which point they're aware of themselves

wide ember
#

some parrots are so very good with mirrors

#

the parrot in my profile was definitely very aware of both himself and how mirrors work

tender cobalt
#

That came out cuter than it should have zagluv

wide ember
#

he also made the distinction between intentional harm and accidental harm

#

I mean, we are way past the era of sticking electrodes inside cat brains

#

so it's easy to turn to observation of animals as living beings with agency

#

we also no longer blindly dismiss observations of animal intelligence as projection

hasty kernel
#

Parrots are pretty smart birds

queen rover

Is that bird yours, then? 🐦 👀

wide ember

they really are, and yes, he was my bird brother until he died a while ago

queen rover
#

Ah, damn. I'm sorry to hear that

hasty kernel
#

Aw :S

wide ember
#

it was really bad because that season, his feathers were really full and bright, but then the tap water was wrong (probably the sanitizer in the water did worse than the actual bacteria in it) and he was already a bit weakened by sleeping late with me

#

when he was alive, he was such a perfect being, not in that he never made mistakes, but that he always learned and improved himself

#

at one point, he got addicted to coffee, and he stopped eating it by himself when he saw that that particular behaviour distressed me

north hamlet
#

What a sweet birb

queen rover
#

Such a sweet thing, I'm sorry

haughty fog
#

such intelligent animals

#

do they live long ?

queen rover
#

Goes to show how smart they are that they could put two and two and stop doing that because of thinking it wasn't sitting well with you

#

From my knowledge that breed of parrot lives 15 years on average, I used to keep them a lot as a kid

haughty fog
#

meanwhile my guinea pigs still pee on my bed first occasion after 5 years of cries of despair

wide ember
#

my bird died too young

#

...that guinea pig may just didn't care

haughty fog
#

its cruel having to lose your animal after years of bonding

queen rover
#

Yeah, one can get surprisingly attached to them too

haughty fog
#

i don't think my guinea pigs are clever enough to figure it all out, but something funny happened a few weeks ago, one guinea pig was sitting on my lap and getting agitated, i took her and put her in her little portable home and she peed. Well, she peed on me, cause she basically sprayed me. But I'm touched by the intention

#

she thought probably "i'm safe now, ive touched home base, i can let it go"

#

or perhaps she looked for a particularly creative way to soil my shirt

wide ember
#

lol

haughty fog
#

my guinea pigs did sort of understand it was bad to pee while sitting on me but they forget and they don't really understand the concept of having a specific spot, so it's complex. But they're not pets you love for their cleverness

wide ember
#

yeah, aren't they domesticated to be food?

#

like, the selective breeding cared more for more meat on them than smartness

haughty fog
#

yea, that's why they survived up until now

#

they were farmed by Incas

#

doesn't really build trust

wide ember
#

that selection for meat caused them to be adorably rotund and turned them into popular pets

haughty fog
#

haha

#

but the European / domestic variety is small in shape compared to its Andean equivalent these days

#

like, 1 kilo compared with 3

wide ember
#

aw, less rotund?

haughty fog
#

just smaller, less anxious and noisy

#

in Europe we call the "normal" guinea pigs "giant" guinea pigs lol

#

the ones that still are raised for their meat in South America

#

cuyos or sth

wide ember
#

cuy?

haughty fog
#

yea

wide ember
#

a montreal restaurant owner was once arrested for illegally importing frozen cuy

haughty fog
#

oh ? lol

#

i don't know if cuy meat is ok in countries where it was never considered as food...

haughty fog
#

oh, thats funny

#

i must say i may be would eat it, but presented like this, roasted and with the head, the whole body, it doesn't seem appealing

wide ember
#

it's also really tragic for him as he's a small business owner, and a waste of good cuy 😔

haughty fog
#

lol

#

well, if it's prohibited..

wide ember
#

I believe diced roasted cuy must be really delicious

haughty fog
#

i don't think it's that good tbh

#

i know this animal a little bit now and it's not like it's that ideal for steaks

#

its just thats all there is in Peru, originally

#

that or llamas

wide ember
#

alpaga too

#

alpaca meat, especially steak, is pretty delicious

#

I mean, depends on the cook too because the last time it wasn't cooked right, but I've had really good alpaca steak flavoured with rosemary

haughty fog
#

do you like raw meat ?

wide ember
#

absolutely not, unless it's fish

haughty fog
#

haha

wide ember
#

fish has this sweetness when raw

haughty fog
#

meat can have it too, but not all meats ofc

wide ember
#

most non-fish meat kind of... it's not that they actually stink, but there's an instinctual revulsion when presented raw

#

I still ate some tartare at a christmas party, but didn't enjoy it

haughty fog
#

its true, i didn't enjoy it at first too and there can be revulsion, but it can be absolutely delicious when it's quality and well prepared

#

i'm revulsed by blood but i still love blue steak

wide ember
#

I love blood curds, but don't like meat as much

north hamlet
#

I think it's more of how used to it you are than it is instinct

#

Raw fish was really weird in western societies in the past

wide ember
#

humans do have this instinctual revulsion of raw meat because of parasite risk killing the ancestors that didn't have it

#

but it's something that isn't 100% accurate, like the phobia of snakes or spiders

#

and can be overwritten or discarded

north hamlet
#

Yeah since fish can have such parasites

#

We've just figured out a way for it to not be a big problem

#

So it's fine now

wide ember
#

hokkaido people already knew to freeze the sashimi before eating

#

like, in ancient time

#

it's similar to the method that we have right now

Truth bomb: SMT Nocturne is an isekai.

hasty kernel
#

I mean

#

The world transforming still fits in with Isekai

upbeat scroll
#

is code lyoko an isekai

exotic latch
#

The Vortex World is, by all definitions, a different world. It's so divorced from any context or tie to the old world that even your friends don't even talk about anything that happened before.

#

Like, to argue it's the same world is I guess kind of the Ship of Theseus ( ::shakes fist:: THESEUUUUUUUUS ) problem, but the world is so completely, irrevocably, and drastically changed that it ought to count as a different world.

#

Also, refreshingly, unlike the scads of limp excuses to do Fantasy Harem Comedy, Nocturne plays it for horror.

hasty kernel
#

Code Lyoko I think isnt one

exotic latch
#

Let me find the alignment grid...

#

I believe this can be applied as a guideline.

hasty kernel
#

On a sidenote Digimon is still the best Isekai

exotic latch
#

From this, one might put Code Lyoko as Ingredient- and Structure-Neutral, in that Lyoko is a high-concept "world" that, while normally unreachable, can be freely accessed by the protagonists.

odd grove

odd grove
#

Like

#

Puzzle boy should have granted the Satan magatama

#

No joke

exotic latch
#

I'm fine with that on Black Frost, but yeah.

odd grove
#

Well most of the reason you fight black frost is to get black frost himself

exotic latch
#

Fair!

odd grove
#

He's just a really good demon

#

Rn i'm trying to get Amaterasu

#

I'm just a single demon away

exotic latch
#

What I'm hoping for right now is for SMT5:

  1. to get some actual punk in there. I want protags dressed in ratty leather and kevlar and running through grimy alleys and trying not to choke on brick dust. Give it the same extent of style as P5, but in its own direction.

  2. to have a selectable if not customizable protag, and for any female protag to be wearing something more substantial than a miniskirt.

  3. more emphasis on tech. I love the magic behind Nocturne, but I do also want to see tech show up more concretely, like the Church of Messiah trying to track you using facial recognition and you get away by hacking into that.

  4. The Demi-Fiend needs to come back as a bonus boss somehow. I feel like people have forgotten that fear.

odd grove
#

I mean

#

Demi fiend has been a mini boss in way too many SMT games now

exotic latch
#

...I'm counting 2? DDS1 and IMAGINE?

odd grove
#

Oh wait

#

You don't count his apparitions in SMT IV?

exotic latch
#

I haven't played SMT4, so I was not aware he was there except for that DLC for Apocalypse.

#

ANd there he's playable.

wide ember
#

late but SMT is a reverse isekai because inhabitants of the Expanse cross to a world similar to ours and gain powers in the world similar to ours

odd grove
#

That's lowkey better tho

exotic latch
#
  1. Definitely not a flat Law vs. Chaos conflict. I wanna see some verisimilitude in their portrayals. Like...Nocturne has so much enduring appeal to me because the Reasons are, while simplified, tied to various sociopolitical theories, and that makes it feel stronger.
odd grove
#

Yeah

#

Like honestly reasons have way better shape

#

It's less about a standard morality

#

And more about each player interpreting the reasons differently

exotic latch
#

Right, right.

odd grove
#

Say, i agreed with Isamu's reason while someone else could have completely disregard it

exotic latch
#

Granted, anyone siding with Yosuga/Social Darwinism kind of...uh.

wide ember
#

she was shooting herself in the foot with it too

exotic latch
#

Like "wouldn't it be great if all the useless things were destroyed?" is kind of a thing right now, and we can just look around us to see how it's working out.

#

Granted, we can do the same with Musubi.

#

Atomized individuals living their own personal isolated existence without intersecting with anyone else is also extant in our society.

odd grove
#

Each has clear flaws and upsides

#

They are meant to be "this or nothing" kind of things

exotic latch
#

Right, right. Part of the simplification.

#

But it works, and in their pursuit of it we can also see the hypocrisy inherent in their methods.

#

Which, funnily enough, only Hikawa seemed to recognize and accept.

odd grove
#

But one thing stands true

#

That was an eventuality

#

The whole death and rebirth was written in stone

wide ember
#

Freedom and True Demon defied that

exotic latch
#

It was, though it was also sapient creatures who brought it about.

#

People chose to believe in the prophecy and acted consciously to make it real, because it appealed to them.

odd grove
#

Wait is it one of the SMT things where people believe so hard in something it becomes real?

exotic latch
#

It did happen in Persona 2.

#

And technically, demons came about because of that.

#

Magatsuhi and other depictions of demonic sustenance are basically human belief and emotion, or the derivative thereof.

#

The demons are true if we believe in them.

odd grove
#

So...

#

If i believe hard enough, i too can punch god in the face?

wide ember
#

in Devil Survivor, people who screamed that demons and angels are not real still got mauled

#

I guess it depends on which continuity

odd grove
#

Because people believed

#

Not them

faint panther
#

If i believe hard enough, i too can punch god in the face?
@odd grove Also in Guren Lagann.

wide ember
#

then there's no reason that you believing in yourself would work in a SMTverse

odd grove
#

Just because you don't believe doesn't make Alvin Yakitori stop believing

exotic latch
#

Well, it's also a matter of numbers.

wide ember
#

it would require the majority of population believe that you can

exotic latch
#

Like in SMT2, it ends with YHVH gloating that even though Aleph killed him, so long as people believe in him, he'll come back.

#

(Incidentally? This whole thing leads to some terrifying implications re: putting the Demi-Fiend into a Death Battle).

odd grove
#

...What?

exotic latch
#

Death Battle's a web series that's basically "who would win in a fight?" with an attempt to actually work out what would be possible.

odd grove
#

Demi fiend would win

#

Like, every time

#

He punched both god and satan in the face

exotic latch
#

Yep, but I didn't realize just...how terrifying the numbers would be.

odd grove
#

Ok so

#

Masakados is canon

#

Let's start with that

#

Demifiend is virtually invulnerable

exotic latch
#

I consulted the math, and for YHVH to be able to do what he does as stated in Nocturne (create and destroy universes over and over, with almost no effort, to try and make a society without free will), in physical terms that would mean exerting the amount of energy and matter (which, as Einstein taught us, is just a very dense form of energy) in the entire universe over a single unit of Planck time, which is the shortest amount of time that has any meaning.

#

In real numbers, that's about as close as you can get to dividing infinity by zero, and it also places YHVH so far past Class 4 on the Kardashev Scale that the whole "People have prayed to lesser beings than the Time Lords" is almost quaint.

#

As far as power output, a fair fight is generally possible if two entities are within about an order of magnitude of each other. So if YHVH is that strong, that also says a lot given that the Demi-Fiend was created specifically to kill him not through some JJBA puzzlehackery, but through sheer brute force.

#

Just for comparison? Superman is "only" a Class 2, aka about the total output of a star. Ridiculously strong for an individual (the Kardashev Scale was created in an attempt to measure the output of entire civilizations), but hundreds of billions of times weaker than that.

odd grove
#

So basically

#

Demifiend is stronger than YHVH by a small margin, and only because of very specific abilities he has in order to fight him

#

Demi fiend is strong, but can't actually do half of what YHVH can do despite being able to kill him

exotic latch
#

I think the specific ability is more "he is using Dwarf Fortress waterwheel hacks," in that he's a human soul fused with a body that grows infinitely stronger based on human belief and emotion.

#

He might not be more than a particularly impressive RPG protag if taken as he is, but with an infinite feed of energy, he has no upper limit.

#

(Also, it should be noted that while very strong, Masakados is not prescriptive. In his bonus boss fight in DDS1, he is still vulnerable to Earth magic and Guns.)

odd grove
#

That's because he doesn't care enough

#

Also to note

#

Guns attacks do not exist in nocturne

#

@exotic latch imagine the literal ultimate life form, slayer of gods, invulnerable to all sorcery, being killed by a glock shot on his abdomen

exotic latch
#

Exactly.

faint panther
#

Hey, Superman is very specifically vulnerable to magic, maybe this guy is the opposite.

exotic latch
#

It's not prescriptive. It protects him from "everything except Almighty" as far as his source game, but Earth Magic is not present there.

#

Also, I mean, they didn't do much to him.

#

Just that he's not specifically invulnerable to them.

#

Like how Wonder Woman is currently not immune to piercing weapons like gunfire, but even if one gets past her bracelet blocking, it's not like she can't power through it.

i do applaude GMs who are able to weave character plots into the story

#

the dead space campaign im in is the most free of backstory lore interaction, everyone is there as they are and things are going to heck

serene tulip
#

I like my PCs to grow with the campaign

flat prism
#

Dead space ttrpg is something I didn't know I needed

torpid apex
#

the british magic brigade one tho, the GM runs the entire premise with entire lore tied to each character, and there's six PCs

serene tulip
#

so when I'ms tarting something new I'm like, "Try not to have too specific a character background"

torpid apex
#

ayye

#

that's one way to do it too

#

i know someone who runs an SCP campaign and all the major villains are PC adjacent

flat prism
#

That guy's backstory was typical first timer though

torpid apex
#

lol hey cygnus we're still testing the dead space campaign, if it works out and the GM wants to run another i'll keep you posted

flat prism
#

"the aasimar frontliner that charged in the fray and killed demons and was exalted and bla bla"

#

level 2

#

Ty for the heads up artemst

serene tulip
#

"My character is traveling the land looking for the evil warlock Dallim Tordial who killed his parents in his hometown of Amelbrek" and I'm like, "look, cut out those proper nouns and I'll give you some good ones to work with later"

torpid apex
#

yikes

#

tho to be fair, we all start somewhere

#

im the kind of person that overthinks everything unless you give me dead limits to what i can or cannot do lol

#

otherwise i run dumb attacks like turning a magma dragon's heat energy into sound and almost TPK my team with the resultant soundblast

flat prism
#

I'm the kind of person to make up stuff as he goes though that's bad when it's a new character w 0 written personality

torpid apex
#

that dragon was supposed to be endgame boss but i uh, accidentally killed it super early game

flat prism
#

Ah yes

#

The bbeg that dies too early

torpid apex
#

i one shot it as a novice wizard lol

#

cant tell if the RNG was kind to me or the Fates were messing with me honestly i got 7 suxx (which is a supercrit by WoD standards, i think equivalent would be 3x 20s)

flat prism
#

I remember my hastily put together wizard that got killed by the cleric

torpid apex
#

by the cleric

#

Iirc it was something like a 4d6 roll plus 6?

#

20dmg total

#

And because of exhaustion Uldorinn dieded

#

f

torpid apex
#

he was a good PC ✊ 😔

flat prism
#

Just another mess of a character rly

torpid apex
flat prism
#

#

Yes

#

Also damn I love the hair

torpid apex
#

he's currently a stupidly powerful wizard because i min-maxed hard

#

but also if he has to roll anything in socials he's dead lol

#

thanks 😄

#

Your thread of hades shenanigans is so cute bless

lunar badger
#

yes i need to add more to the thread thank u

#

oh yeah i saw a couple of my friends follow you so i figured lmao

#

the world is small!

#

i scrolled a bit through ur twit u have lovely art ✨

torpid apex
#

Jamie does and i only met them recently before the MCO lol

lunar badger
#

how did you meet him before MCO?? damn

#

through what??

#

i'm v curious

torpid apex
#

msia queer art community is so small everyone knows each other lmao

lunar badger
#

ok thats true im very new and only know jaime mostly so oop

torpid apex
#

We all met up at creator's space, i was with farid

#

Aha no worries, im from JB so i didnt know many people either

lunar badger
#

damn i didn't get the opportunity to go sadly

#

think i was caught up with some stuff

torpid apex
#

I think i have come across your account before, probably for another art thing across my TL

lunar badger
#

ya i've seen farid around! though mostly just through mutuals and never interacted before

#

TL?

torpid apex
#

I recognized the dmitri header though i dont know much about fe3

#

Timeline!

lunar badger
#

ohhh

#

yeah my uplodads are very weird

#

sometimes they blow up and then the rest die

#

i have accepted this twitter fate

#

but yes i love fe3h and i'm an avid fan of sgg games for a long time

#

and when i found out about hades i WANTED to wait untill v 1.0 but like,,,,,,,,,,

#

someone gave me the birthday money to buy it so i was like WELP might as well

torpid apex
#

Nah twitter is fickle

#

I getchu

#

Aha tho isnt it great you have access now

#

I thought id wait for 1.0 too but welp

lunar badger
#

ME LMAO I FEEL YOU SO MUCH

torpid apex
#

Im bored out of my head and Hades really helped

lunar badger
#

i'm not supre bored but hades has really helped me cope through my quarintine

torpid apex
#

Same

lunar badger
#

like, i fit at least 2-3 runs into my schedule as something to look forward to in the day and it works well

torpid apex
#

Bored me is a self destructive menace so its definitely helpful

#

Thats good owo

lunar badger
#

and i dont think i'll get the time like this when v1.0 comes out so like this is a nice time to run through everything

#

college is hectic after all

#

oh that's good to hear! hades is deffinately very time filing despite a run take ~30 mins

#

it's not too long that you might think a session would waste too much time

#

but it's not too short that you get hooked super easy

torpid apex
#

I quite like the 30 mins run, its very predicatble so i can slot time around it for stuff

#

Yesss that exactly

lunar badger
#

yeah the flexibility of it is amazing and what makes it for me tbh-- i can just do a run and feel fullfiled for the day-- and sometimes runs can go for even shorter so

#

hades i think is the only speedrunning comunity i've paid attention to bcs it's really cool

#

and the fact there's a built in heat setting for the exact purpose is

#

👌

torpid apex
#

Yeah its p dope

#

I havent gone into speed running yet

#

Still taking my time running random builds

lunar badger
#

me, a coward, who's too scared to use tight deadline

torpid apex
#

XD

lunar badger
#

then i'd have to get into the habit of pausing between choices

#

i'm collecting all the legendaries and duos as i go up the heat settings

torpid apex
#

I tried the timer but it really just gave me unnecessary stress than an interesting challenge so i dont use it anymoee

#

hOH

lunar badger
#

i should try the timer cause i want to get used to it for higher heat settings in the future but i am A Coward and timers stress me out

torpid apex
#

reminds me too much of standardized testing

lunar badger
#

OH YEAH THERE'S THAT SGJBKDHJG

torpid apex
#

I never finish my karangans on time RIP

lunar badger
#

oh god thats a fat mood

#

i always have to bs the last paragraph

#

KESIMPULANANYA.

#

And then thats it

torpid apex
#

Godspeed on your heats, im a noob taking my time XD

#

KESIMPULANYA lMAO

lunar badger
#

look i didn't say i was original in my karangans did i

#

chinese essays were worse 🔥

torpid apex
#

I had so many alternatives to that but SPM is a world away and i never want to think that anymore

lunar badger
#

how long has it been spm

torpid apex
#

Omg chinese essays was the bane of my existance

lunar badger
#

for u

torpid apex
#

Im older than you, i just graduated uni so

lunar badger
#

thank u for understanding i dont think anyone else i knew took chinese bcs its hard as hell but i was forced to

torpid apex
#

Im uh 2013 i think

lunar badger
#

YO

#

THATS BEEN A HOT MINUTE

torpid apex
#

I hacked chinese

lunar badger
#

i only got into secondary during that time lmao

torpid apex
#

I think i hacked most of my spm exams

lunar badger
#

same

#

i thought spm results would get me somewhere

#

guess what it doesnt

torpid apex
#

Same

#

God

#

I was the batch that had JPA axed

lunar badger
#

oh rip what happened

torpid apex
#

All my 10 A+ friends got denied overseas

lunar badger
#

OH RIP

#

THATS SUCH A FAT RIP

torpid apex
#

96'ers are just the unluckiest in recent education ngl

lunar badger
#

oh god that's depressing oof

torpid apex
#

First to use PPSMI and last to have it too

#

Yeah

#

But its behind us, education ministry is doing a smidge better nowadays but we'll see

lunar badger
#

i mean they are Trying

#

which is ... good?

#

they're definately revamping the edu system which is

#

something

#

an improvement i might say

torpid apex
#

But yeah, i was also denied the funding for overseas so i took STPM and RIP ive never had such bad results

lunar badger
#

there there

#

that's such an oof tho stpm i heard is dreadfully hard

torpid apex
#

Yeah, theyve been following their roadmap fairly well, there was exposure courses and stuff but by then aku dah siap dgn SPM so tak guna lol

#

Its mostly tedious, and RIPx2 if you dont have experienced teachers

lunar badger
#

a true tragedy

#

mostly u just self study i bet

torpid apex
#

(Its hard cause its basically university level material, but theres no set textbook, so nobody knows what is coming out on the exams)

#

Unfortunately yeah

lunar badger
#

format whats that

#

honestly

#

yeah formats are dead in uni im so sad

torpid apex
#

Stpm have to take like 7 hours school days tho, so on top of that with tuition classes youre looking at nearly 10 hours a day

lunar badger
#

let me just cram what i need man

#

ya no thanks

torpid apex
#

Kan?

lunar badger
#

im so glad i told my parents no for stpm

#

half of the time you wont even get to study what u actually want SO WHATS THE POINT

torpid apex
#

Yeah, only 学霸s allowed

lunar badger
#

it's secondary school 2.0

#

yeah

#

can't deal with that tbh 😔

#

matrics is even WORSE

torpid apex
#

Its dirt cheap tho, so one(1) good thing

lunar badger
#

cramming 2 years into 1 i am

#

wow

#

i mean its dirt cheap but will ur mental health survive?

#

no.

torpid apex
#

Tbh matrics course material is easier tham stpm, its just the quota system that prevents most people from getting in

#

(Haaaah. I felt that)

lunar badger
#

oh yeah,,, there's the mhmmmmmmmmmm very questionable quota
